Well its not only funding that,its also funding the Ethiopian space programme.

Seems fair to me ye are already funding the Indian space programme.

Yes, the Ethiopian space programme was the issue in question but she went down the road of talking about Yenga. It just amused me when she said the money should go to "people in dire straits".

Giving UK taxpayers money to all manner of undeserving causes is certainly the Latest Trick of the 'progressive' Left.  In most cases the spending is quickly discovered to be Money For Nothing.

And the kicks for free bit is the giving of someone else's money.

You will notice the most high profile proponents of throwing money away hold tightly to their own.
I call this the Bono/ Geldof syndrome,get the ordinary people to pay then you swan over distributing largesse acting the big guy.

Bono travels the world preaching telling governments to give more money in aid yet he starved his own government of funds by using tax havens.
Geldof got the ordinary people to give him millions,he then gained fame and notoriety became a multi millionaire and gave none of his own money.
