From what he said, it is obvious that she "gave him the finger" ( means "f*ck you" in London) .....so she has severely provoked him.
By:
They both seem very angry. Probably steroids or that strong cannabis the government warned us about. Or maybe they are a pair of prats.
By:
As she passes him she says, "Please don't try and knock me off" (for her upload to facebook)
He says, "Shut up" (With the tone, "What are you on about you daft bint, why would I want to knock you off ?") Then she gives him the finger. He is walking and has right of way if there is any danger of a collision. He did overreact though. |

The guy was just crossing the road and paused for the cyclist.
Lucky she wasn't stabbed imo |

Only a coward would assault a women, he looked quite scrawny, doubt he would of had the bottle to do it to a man.
By:
maybe he didnt know it was woman, she had helmet on?
By:
pure speculation but looks like he was innocently crossing the street, paused to let cyclist go past, got accused of being a knob and given the finger for his good manners and flipped.
By:
Sounds like a set up to get on the Jezza Kyle show £500 a pop
By:
We can't see what colour the woman is, maybe this was a racist attack.
By:
Oops sorry I can see she has a white hand so I would imagine the rest of her is probably white which means he may get away with it, after all she did put her finger up at him.
It's lucky for him that he mentioned the finger incident on the video or it would have looked even worse. |
By:
Don't know why she said anything in the first place. Not sure either of them come out of it totally smelling of roses.

he never expected a camera did he. you can't get away with anything nowadays. anything stupid that you do there is a very good chance it will be up on youtube within minutes. this guy will get punished and rightly so. the embarrassment he must be feeling now knowing all his friends and colleagues will be talking about him
By:
I see a lot of cyclists these days with GoPro camera's strapped to their helmets, and with youtube, you'd be on there for life if you react like an idiot in an incident, the clip someone showed the other week with a driver chasing a cyclist down the street and then going completely arsenal over elbow after tripping made me laugh.
But, is anyone on here saying they would shove a female over in full force like that? pure cowardice. |
By:
he massively overreacted, but she mouthed off safe in the knowledge that she thought she could run away and that it was unlikely that as a man, he would react violently.
if a male cyclist had told him to feck off and cycled off, would we feel the same amount of sympathy for the cyclist if the pedestrian then pushed him off his bike. there is no way she'd have flipped him the bird if she was on foot and they almost bumped into each other. |
By:
^^ what he said.
Teaches the cyclist to not be a **** in the future. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yLQLG_toQhw This guy however should be given to the hills angels for a day. |
By:
Zazu....that's ridiculous, surly that should be handed over to
the police...smug **** needed dragging out the cab window |

Zazu
That recovery van driver should get a lengthy prison sentence. |
By:
If think she got the reaction she was hoping for.
An obvious set-up imo. |
By:
Recovery driver just got done with careless driving. A fine and some points
![]() He only got sacked after twitter/Facebook went mental over it |
By:
there's a lot of anger out there on the roads, I've always found driving therapeutic, maybe it's just me.
By:
Obviously the guy over-reacted but why did she feel the need to give him the finger?
Did he ever look like he was going to push her off her bike when he was crossing? No. Would she have given him the finger if she was on foot? Doubt it. |
By:
She didn't give him the finger. She put her finger( as in ' don't) up, to stop him crossing the road in front of her.
Rock ape man obviously felt his manhood threatened. |
By:
Most people do on the road, Facts. So many clashes of egos, and probably all entirely unnecessary.
By:
if a woman that I had never met before was to suddenly give me a rude hand gesture I don't think I'd get angry, on the contrary I think I might find it slightly arousing, but maybe it's just me.

Surprising thing is this happened about 4 months ago on May 1st, not sure why this footage has only just been released (?)
Almost 50/50 I would say, but the main point would be who had the right of way in the first place, not sure about that. And giving him the finger obviously did provoke him, so he did have the right to be angry but over-reacted by pushing her off. Some cyclists are so arrogant they think they own the road, and this woman did seem to be a bit of an arrogant type, 50/50, but shouldn't have ended in violence. |
By:
Can't believe the nonsense I'm reading above, .. oh well I can a bit.
I know the internet is full of no-life trolls trying to get a rise out of people and this forum isn't immune, but it is no way "50/50". And the gender of the person is irrelevant it could've been Jean Claude Van Damme on the bike and it makes not one bit of difference, the guy doing the pushing is still clearly a head case and the cyclist as far as we know absolutely nothing wrong. And if she did give him the bird (which is in doubt as he says "your finger up at me" which probably means pointing not "give me the finger" and she doesn't lookg behind which you probalby would if you'd just done something aggressive to someone) - so what? I'd laugh at it. It's raising a single digit, it hurts nobody. If you think that deserves an assault you're probably a brainless chav with anger issues. |
By:
Wow it took this thread to do it, but for once, yes for once, I'm 100% in agreement with Facts.
Where's that thread about the end of the world, I think that's one of the signs in the prophecy ![]() ![]() ![]() |
By:
To be fair, I don't think anyone has suggested she deserved being assaulted.
On the same thread, he did absolutely nothing for her provocation/attitude in the first place. She was ridiculously presumptious that he was going to push her over. |
By:

Maybe he tries to push her off her bike every morning. , |

Exactly Darlo.

I want to see the one where someone cycles past Bito and says "don't give me a naked group hug" and he runs after them shouting "give me the finger!"
![]() ![]() . |

By:
I don't condone the subsequent actions of this bloke and did say it shouldn't have ended in violence.
But, give someone the finger ..... expect a reaction. The finger bit is not on film, but if the gesture was done in an offensive way, and don't think she put her finger up to stop him crossing. If she went to the trouble of having a camera on her head surely she had a bell on her bike ! Did she think she could just insult him and ride off. Still no excuse for violence. |
By:
Nasty piece of work and should be charged with assault. He wasn't on a pedestrian crossing and presented a danger to the cyclist crossing in such a reckless manner. The woman should make an official complaint to the police.
