Been a Stones fan for 50 years, interesting to look back when they first started because they didn't really have any direction early on. The first few singles Come On, Not Fade Away, and a Beatles song I Wanna Be Your Man which Ringo sang on With The Beatles LP. Bit of a mish-mash choice of early songs. Then Jagger & Richards started writing songs and because more of a rock band, from The Last Time, Satisfaction, Get Off My Cloud, Lets Spend The Night Together etc etc.
They never progressed much after the 60's they just kept going........and 51 years later they are still going. But nearly all the hits were from the 60's. Jagger did try going solo once but hardly had any success at that. Seen them live in the 60's when Brian Jones was still in the band. And I don't think ONE DIRECTION will still be going in 50 years !!!
