I have been with O2 for 24 months and now the contract time is up i want to cancel.

Impossible to get through to anyone from O2 to cancel my contract. They are certainly making it difficult so to try and put you off from trying to leave.

Anyway if i just cancel my direct debit would that work or would i be charged for not letting them know?

Think cancelling dd could cause problems

Can you not do it via the 02 app?

Nope.

There isn't anything on their site that tells you how to cancel. Only option is to ring 202 tomorrow.

Can't be as bad as vodafone. Phoned them 3 times to cancel, did the online chat 3 times, cos they kept sending me the next bill.
At one point I had 3 letters from them arrive one after the other claiming 3 different amounts I had to pay left on my balance. They want 30 days notice before your contract is up and then they can claim they didn't receive it. c()nts

I've managed to get the contract cancelled but trying to get O2 to unlock my iphone is something else CryCryCry

Fill out the free online form and they say they will text you, they never have. Even when they contact you it can take upto 14 days to unlock, wtf why?

you can do it yourself or take it to any little phone shop and they'll do it for about a tenner.

My contract with 02 for a iPhone I bought for my wife expired a few weeks ago. I was paying something like £35 a month. I phoned up, got through straight away and they could not have been more helpful. I was offered a new one year contract for I think £12 a month for the same tariffs. Obviously I now owned the mobile hence the reduction. They even give me some discount.
