I like a nice pedant, spinning and sparkling in the morning sun.

A nice  pedant always makes me think of Rome, the way the sun hits the buildings in the afternoon.

"There are a fair number of pedants" is correct. It is a plural construct rather like "There are a dozen eggs in the refrigerator".

Have you found anything from the list yet which appeals to you as a new hobby aasbf?

If not there are plenty of other things out there such as bog snorkelling, cheese rolling, tiddlywinks or mycology to name just a few.
If leopard skinning appeals to you, why stop there? You could branch out fully into taxidermy.

Let us know what you decide to do.

Probably get ruined for this.
But as a lad I used to fish. Then found alcohol, women and gambling(in that order probably Plain)
But recently I grew tired of wasting my money on those.
So I have gone back to fishing(Boring Geek I hear you say)
But it really is good.Takes me away from gambling all together. No stress,No money loss.
Try it(It's a thousand times cheaper than gambling, and you get a decent suntan)
What more could you want ?
Hope you find something, even if it's not fishing.
I wish you well

I walk my dog near a fishing lake

Never understood how people can spend entire days sat fully clothed, next to a lake without getting bored.

Crazy thing about fishing, is that not only do they sit there all day, but in most circumstances chuck the poor bloody fish (that just had the hook unceromoniously ripped out of it's mouth) back so they can torment it again!

The Poles have a better idea, by using shotguns and nets..... (I don't really condone that)
