Trying to find out how to stop it sending Diagnostic and usage data to MS as there is no option for it, I turned off feedback frequency but that doesn't stop it.

is windows 10 the one that implements some kind of augmented reality?
doesnt it also have 3d printer setting in it?

A couple of days using Windows 10 and I'd say to anyone whose not using it yet to wait, it is riddled with bugs, and Edge, the new internet browser needs a lot of work.  With that and the fact the default privacy options send everything bar your soul to Microsoft, I can't see why so much praise has been heaped on it, I'll give it the weekend to play around with it some more but I think I'll probably just revert to Win 7.

Thanks for the warning Alpha-Centauri. I have the option to download Windows 10 but will stick to Win 7 for now.

I just wiped my drive and clean installed Windows 8.1 on my PC and now my VGA driver is ****ed up. My Asus board only has drivers for Windows 7 and it won't let me install them on 8.1. The only solution I can think of is wiping it again, installing Windows 7 with drivers and then upgrading to 8.1.

Has anyone any suggestions or push me to a forum that would solve this?

Its been 2 years since 8 was introduced and many vendors haven't bothered to upgrade their products. Windows 10 will be even worse if you upgrade now imo

Took about 2 hours to update, will see what if any problems

Be careful what you do browsing and say in emails etc if you upgrade to windows 10. It looks like they have full control of everything you do and say covered in the T&C's and Privacy policy you have to agree to !

I first installed W10 last Saturday on my Microsoft Windows Surface Pro 3 (SP3), and reverted back to W8.1 in around 10mins of having it on the tablet, for me it did not suit the tablet device.  Notwithstanding I have installed W10 from W7 on my Sony Vaio this week, which took 2hrs or more to do, I am kindda ok with it on the laptop.
Report Ovalman. August 8, 2015 12:58 PM BST
I seem to be hearing loads of problems so I won't upgrade for a few months. I still haven't got my VGA driver sorted for Windows 8, looks like I'll have to downgrade to W7 and then upgrade again.
Report Ron-Russian August 9, 2015 11:19 AM BST
if you put your pc into sleep mode on W10 you don't need to
log back on to access the pc? surly that can't be right?
Report DAFFODIL1 August 9, 2015 12:39 PM BST
Can't find the control panel or uninstall
Report G1_Jockey_4 August 9, 2015 12:42 PM BST
my video driver wont update but it works fine.
prefer w10 simply because the bulk of the menus are easy to navigate compared to the last 2 efforts.
Report Ron-Russian August 9, 2015 1:40 PM BST
DAFF.

It's start button, then the "all apps" then open windows system &
you'll see control panel, right click control panel & move it somewhere
more appropriate
