I would be staggered if america give the guy up, their arrogance generally knows no bounds.
They believe in unilateralism, 'do as I say not as I do' foreign policy where others are expected to hand over any one at will. |

guy paid a fortune for a lion killing license ....wtf did the zimbabs think he was gunna do ?
extradition ,,,for what ? is it illegal to hunt lions with a bow ? he must have been close imo to hit it ,animal should have been quickly dispatched humanely after he failed to kill it ,although no diff from the millions of animals that are struck by vehicles and limp off ....a lot of do about nothing . old lion is sold to American hunter ,local economy has benefited ...whats the big deal ? millions dying in africa of hunger and thirst and you never hear cheap from the luvvies on here |

curious as to what you would call it?? Why not reread my sentence that you highlighted and you will see that I have called it "killing an animal". I remember at one time in the Shergar enquiry a senior police officer in Ireland said they were treating it as they would any other murder. Of course it isn't murder but a more realistic call would be the unlawful killing of an animal. |

I fkn hate dentists even normally. |

I've seen people outside the dentist in Minnesota holding up banners emblazoned with the now cheesy phrase "Je Suis Cecil"
Sometimes I just want to disown the human race ![]() |

In the context of the article that wouldnt make sense either given in the same sentence the author appears to be suggesting it may not have been unlawful because he had a permit. |

There is a stark contrast to breeding and rearing animals for human consumption; who are then killed in a humane way to somebody 'trophy hunting' and killing endangered wild animals in the wilderness.
Anyone who fails to see this is either plain dim or just trying to score cheap points by braying an angry majority. Small c0ck syndrome American hunters, them and their guns sheesh. |
|
By:
Lions ARE bred and raised in that region for human consumption, and they are NOT endangered in that region. The lion park near harare is filled with starving animals.
another group of endangered elephants were shot illegally by poachers at the same time, for the asian market, too fooking scared to speak up about that though, might offend the wrong people. The reason the same zimbabwean govt that killed and ate a baby elephant for a birthday is attempting to extradite someone for shooting a lion with a permit, is because they know they can cash in again on simpleton mugs like charwell. No one interested in extraditing mugabe for crimes againsts humanity not only in the genocide and distruction in his own country, but also regional crimes like the millions killed in congo? it's not just the absence of morality or intelligence, but the fact they are too fooking cowardly. A bit like that dentist charwell, you stick to your soft targets, might make your d!ck grow bigger. |

what's the small talk as he cleans your teeth?

I certainly wouldn't extradite the dentist to Zimbabwe unless it was in exchange for the mass murderer Mugabe.
Still all this hulabaloo over the shooting is a good thing and will make people think twice about trophy hunting themselves. The dentist is being punished enough by the baying masses jumping on the "let's show how virtuous we all are" social media bandwagon. In circumstances like this I always think of the play An Inspector Calls. |

A man from Texas has been wounded after a bullet he fired at an armadillo ricocheted and hit him in the head, the local sheriff says.
The shooting incident took place in the Marietta area of East Texas. Three shots were fired and at least one ricocheted off the shell. The gunman was treated for a minor injury to the jaw, USA Today reports, but the small armoured creature has not been found and its fate remains unclear. Cass County Sheriff Larry Rowe told Reuters that the shooter opened fire in the early hours of Thursday morning when he spotted the armadillo on his property. "He went outside and took his .38 revolver and shot three times at the armadillo," Mr Rowe said. "Karmadillo!" tweeted the comedian and animal rights supporter Ricky Gervais. Thursday's incident is not the first armadillo bullet deflection to end in a human wounding in the southern United States in recent months. In April a Georgia man injured his mother-in-law when a bullet ricocheted off an armadillo, "hit a fence, went through the back door of his mother-in-law's mobile home, through a recliner she was sitting in, and into her back," local TV station WALB News reported. |

This whole lion thing makes me want to throw up...first we have this disgrace to the human race kill the pride's alpha male and now the only male left capable of looking after the rest is shot and killed. Nobody will face prosecution for this and that pisses me off.
|
|
By:
presumably they shot jerico to protect the cubs. (confirmation would be good)
Once jerico realises that the alpha male isn't coming back he prob would have killed the cubs. |

News sources are saying poachers were responsible.

I think we already knew the 2 guides acted outside the rules.

Poachers are, if anything, very irresponsible imo.

Does anyone know what toothpaste the dentist uses ?
His gnashers are pretty impressive ,he could have wasted his gold on a donald trump type rug but that would have prob involved more animals dying .... |
|
By:
no doubt charges should be brought against those responsible.
the dentist and his cronies did not have a lion hunting permit. Fine the dentist every penny/assets (paid over £30k for the hunt, so must have plenty) he has and give the money to the park to combat poachers, and a quick spell in prison so he has time to think of the error of his ways. |
|
By:
sounds like the Jericho bulletin may be wrong now. Mix up with an other lion killed in a neighboring farm. Apparently they're keeping a very close eye on
this pride for obvious reasons. |
|
By:
Polybot - you are talking out your ar$e - they do not breed lions for human consumption so stop pretending you are capable of finding your ar$e with both hands.
WTF has elephants to do with this argument? You seem to be backing up my original statement as I said any hunting for sport was immoral. You spout off whilst inadvertently supporting me ![]() ![]() The Mugabe argument is completely unrelated. If you asked me the time and I said 'bacon & eggs' then that is an appropriate parallel. FWIW Mugabe is an out and out criminal who should have been brought to justice years ago for his heinous actions against his countrymen. |

lion farming is widespread in the region, not just for canned hunting, but for the supply of "orphan" kittens to pass round "nature loving" tourists to play with, all human consumption (the meat is often also used locally) This whole dentist non-story is set up for the most gullible of mugs. a timely media distraction for the idiots. |
