...anyone who knows what,s really going on....and what is about to happen.....

...should be buying all the Gold and Silver they can....and they should be doing it NOW.

...because sooner or later even the Central Banks (the FED primarily) and their proxies wont be able to dump enough paper on the futures markets to suppress the price.......

...there will soon be a systemic meltdown of fiat currencies and the debt based Ponzi money issuance system that underpins said currencies.

....no charge for this advice by the way.......nopeWink

I agree that the system is bust beyond repair but since 2008 ive been constantly wrong in predicting the timimg of the real crisis. We are still stumbling towards disaster but Id like to know your definition of "soon".

..no Rob.......I don't think I am.........

...I obviously think I know what is going on or I would not have posted.

How about my poor old Premium Bonds then MYMF ?

Can I still rely on them making me a beautiful £25 each month so I can take Emily and Allegra out for a richly-deserved coffee and blueberry muffin at Morrisons every 3rd Friday in the month?

Dotchinite....."soon".....

..well....

...it will depend on how quickly the small minority...of which I am a part (and you it seems)....is made into a large majority.....

....the mass of people have yet to realise just what a tight (inescapable actually) corner that the Central Banks have backed themselves (and the global financial system) into by their manipulation of all "Capitalist"  market interventions through QE....near zero interest rates.... and futures markets dumping.

imo we have been in a managed recession since 2009..........take away QE....take away cheap.. almost free money...and the true nature of things is revealed....in fact it is already revealing itself while these measures are in place.....

...forget interest rate rises in the US....QE 4 as I predicted wont be long in coming.....it will simply prolong the inevitable...but this type of thing cannot go on forever.
By:
egner
When: 24 Jul 15 11:10
...perhaps the catalyst for the "masses" will be the collapse of the asset bubbles that QE and Zero interest rates have artificially inflated......

..then you will have a huge correction of asset prices....

...this why on the Corbyn thread....while I am no fan of labour....

I said his time may soon have come.....if he elected leader......and reality dawns on the majority about the true nature of the financial system....

..people will wonder whether they can trust anyone!!!!!

..there was a crash under New or Newish Labour....if I am right there will be a crash under the Conservatives.....

...so maybe people will realise that it isn't the politicians who control things... ..but that it is the financial system and those who maniplulate it...who control the politicians!!!!!!!

Corbyn could certainly trigger a crash with his ideas on spending money created by QE. Once politicians do that Weimar here we come.

Neither gold nor silver pay dividends and they don't have any nutritional value either. Both appear on a downward trend right now.

...its on a downward trend Stow because its price is being manipulated by the Fed and its proxies primarily on the Comex futures market....put in other arenas also.

...they are terrified of the Gold price rising....and its effect on US dollar valuation....terrified.

..and you are right in one sense...while QE and zero interest rates are enforced then the stock markets bubbles will continue and all will seem fine......

..of course...why would you want gold or silver in these circumstances.....

...unless of cause you can peek behind the curtain and see that things WILL unravel......and that the longer this suppression of gold and silver goes on...

...the bigger correction will occur upward eventually for them...and down hugely for the stock indeces that no longer bear any reflection or are representative of the real economy in any way.

Some Gold companies listed on the FTSE pay dividends. Agreed that's an indirect investment in gold but nevertheless..

"Doomsday" investors hold only physical gold & silver. They figure that shares & funds etc can be pillaged by the government if things get really desperate.

Gold and Silver has been "money" and a store of value for thousands of years.....

...and it will still be considered money and a store of money long after the dollar...pound...euro and whatever other fiat currency you would like to mention becomes worthless.....

..and the ONLY way to buy it...and to protect your self from currency implosion or hyperinflation or a whole systemic financial metdown is to but the physical stuff..

if you buy paper Gold...an ETF....you will joining the bottom of a very long queue should you wish to collect the real gold that backs it up.......as I have said the dumping of paper gold to suppress its price means that there is nowhere near enough of the physical stuff to cover all the paper liabilities....

..either buy it as coins and store at home or other secure places you know of or have someone else store it for you...spread it around too....london ..Geneva..Singapore....

If armageddon arrives, why wouldn't the price of Gold, Silver & everything else collapse? Where is the demand for it when everyone is potless?
By:
egner
When: 24 Jul 15 14:25
..I assume you are talking of financial Armageddon stow....

...beacause it is a store of value.......and when the value of fiat currencies diminishes and becomes worthless...and goods and services need to be bought..it can be traded for them.....

..in fact in many countries in asia they wil readily accept gold for everday things...they love it and appreciate its inherent qualities....its longevity...scarcity and store of value.

And many think that when the financial system is reset...which it is mathematically certain it will have to be....any new currency or currencies value will have to be linked to Gold.....

..not a return to the Gold standard per se...but the valuations put on them will have to  be backed by Gold.......and many think this why governments all over the world who KNOW what it is happening are either secretly buying up as much of the stuff as they can (China) or trying to get the gold that is stored for them in other countries Central banks repratiated to them..(fat chance)....because as I have said......the physical stuff is oversubscribed many many times.

Egner, I am not endorsing your "investment advice", but treating Gold and Silver investment COINS similarly is seriously flawed, because Gold coins and bars are zero rated for VAT whereas for Silver they are not.

don't they rust?
By:
egner
When: 24 Jul 15 14:40
...yes blackbarn...

...but in the context of what I have said on here im not sure what the relevance is......

..the prices of both are being supressed and when that suppression ends they will both skyrocket....

..the fact that Vat is payable on silver does not invalidate this per se...

..also..if worst comes to the worst....silver coins in that their worth is less comparable to gold is far easier to barter with for everyday goods and services.

I fear the scenario you describe egner.
Advanced societies like ours can not survive if workers are not paid as everything will collapse. No electricity, water, sewage treatment, transport and no food in the shops. I'm wondering what would be there to buy with those valuable gold coins and how you could hold on to them without being in possession of a serious "persuader" and plenty of ammunition.

...it fills me with trepidation as well foinavon.....

..I really cant see it being avoided....some kind of reset has to take place......

...to be honest you have hit the nail on the head......I think there would be plenty for those with the resources to buy it....

...but it wouldn't be a pleasant scenario in which to live...and as you say ..without protecting yourself or getting someone to do it for you may not last long....

Doubt I could go down that path so may become academic anyway.
