I used to like 8/11 but I'm too old for that kind if betting now

95/40 used once in the 70s. Will never be bettered although 20/21 did run it close.

When you place a bet on an unnamed fav you are deemed to be capable of winning since the sp is not known. Joints/cos are split.

I'm fond of my horse's price shortening from 2/1 to 15/8 because I think the bookies know it's going to win and want to save themselves a few bob.

My £40 is in the 95/40 camp. Aesthetically pleasing price.

I'm rather surprised that 22/1 hasn't had an honourable mention.
