from my Oz forum
"aussie have fallen to perfect bowling conditions. England would be best to let them stay out in the middle for a few hours now. I have seen it before and also bowled in conditions like this, all a good bowler needs to do is keep the seam upright and bowl on stumps, un playable The team is not to blame, it has nothing to do with the batsmen, and I am a kiwi" |

Kiwis are 2 pies short of a picnic more than Aussies...
Pitch aint that bad, batting atrocious.. |

Has a team ever been bowled out before lunch on 1st day before ?

Broad now joins the best ever, Freddie Trueman on 307.
Bloody brilliant bowling. |

struggling to think of the last time a side being bowled out in under 20 overs

I remember Yorkshire being bowled out against Hampshire for 23 in the 60s.
|
|
By:
To be honest this isn't so unprecedented. England all out for 51 v windies in 2009. Aus about 47 (were 21-9) v saffers a few years back. England 46 v Windies 1994. Pak bowled out for 50 something twice in the same match about ten years back.

Vaguely remember Bangldaesh being skittled out by Engerland for not many a few years back..

apparently the shortest innings in terms of balls ever in the first innings of a test match

Well what a 1st session... The wombat shufflers destroyed like a snag in a croc..
Engerland get through to lunch unscathed.. And last but not least, Atherton phucked off to 3rd man. Although the narcissistic twot tried to escape a few times... Most enjoyable.. |

Two best batsmen in now, both got a start, We'll have a 200 first innings lead by stumps on the first day. aussies in 2nd innings will be under so much pressure we'll skittle them again.

England batsmen looking quite comfortable now. Every boundary tightens our grip on the Ashes.

Root batting with the gods these days.

at the conclusion of their innings an Aussie said to me
"Still need to see the Poms bat on this green wicket. May still come down to a second innings test match if our quicks can knock the poms over for under 150. English batsmen are just average players. Don't give up just yet IMO." |

For sale, 11 Australian cricket bats, as good as new and hardly used during the summer of 2015.

I've been watching the highlights on Ch5 whilst listening to an Ashes special on Radio5.
Just brilliant dual-mediaing! Now watching Ch5+1 to watch this glorious day in Ashes history once again. They were talking to Chris Broad on R5 and he said Stuart was a 2lb 2 oz, 8 week premature baby when he was born. That must give any new parent who is going through the trials and tribulations of having a very small baby who is very premature great succour. Very well done Stuart Broad. |

Just look at 'Our Geoffrey' at the crease telling the Aussies what they're doing wrong.
To be fair to him, he looks like he's never retired! |

R.I.P Test Cricket ?????
This one might even last 3 days, weather permitting. |
