If you recall years ago on here, I must owe you a fortune in pocket money.

RIP and condolences to you para,I don't obviously know the circumstances,but as difficult as it is,it is the natural order of things that we bury our parents,and not the other way round,which happens much to often.

You seem like a decent lad para,so as time passes,you will have good memories,and hopefully very few regrets,take care at this difficult time,and God bless.

To all of us,who have parents that are still living,we should be aware that they will not always be with us,and it is too late to change things when they are gone.

Very sad to read your terrible news parachute. I lost my dear Mum earlier this year so know exactly what you are going through. May she be at peace now and try and celebrate her life as I do mine. All the very best to you and your family.

my mothers been dead for 20 years..........took me a long time to get over it.........think its the hardest death to take ....your mother......

Sympathy, lost my Mum last year, and its a tough one to get over. (you never really do you just learn to cope better). My Mum opened some betting accounts for me, where I couldnt get on.

When i read posts like these amongst some great humour, reminds me that despite dwindling numbers, chit chat is the best place to start when turning on the laptop.

So sorry to hear that, can't imagine it.

Please look after yourself and hopefully, one day you will be able to talk about the memories with a smile.

At my auntie's funeral, the vicar said that she'd said that people 'could be sad, but not miserable' when she died.. that finished me.

Be strong, but reach out when you need to.

I came here (not chit chat, obviously) over 5 years ago because my mum was ill and needed looking after.  She's in her 96th year now and going even stronger than me.  Not what I expected but I wouldn't grudge her a minute - even though she is useless at tipping winners.  You only get one - celebrate parachute.  And move on - because you're now the 'responsible adult'.

stay strong para, plenty of good people on here always ready to talk.

So true Golden never regret,stay strong and positive Parachute. Been there 5 years ago still hurts.
