Long story short wife and I discussing various ideas for decorating. Bit of background for you I am not allowed any opinion WHAT SO EVER re internal decoration and any opinion I manage/bother to express is met with absolute derision, however somehow on this occasion I expressed a thought,I was told it was a stupid idea what was I thinking and the look on her face was as if I had just suggested pimping her out .........she then continued to talk ideas and I mentioned about a mirror being on wall x,she said it cant be on that wall as there is a mirror opposite it and that means that it allows evil spirits into the room!!!! So my idea of painting a wardrobe is mental but placing a mirror in the wrong location allows evil spirits and that's ok and normal????
Trust me this is the tip of the iceburg on what I have to endure on a daily weekly basis.......I might start logging them on here as a record of her utter madness:)
Not sure why you would want to be involved in these sort of discussions anyway. I have one room which I use as my study where everything in it is chosen by me. The rest of the house is for Mrs F to decorate to "impress" her friends with her good taste. I wouldn't even want to interfere.

Him: "Oh yes, that would look lovely and would complement the washbasin nicely don't you think?"

Place a pair of Chinese Fu Dog or Fu Lion statues at the entrance to your home. They will dispel negative spirits and keep them from reentering. Another option is displaying a picture or sculpture of Chung Kwei. He is known to protect people from evil spirits.
suggest you get a few of these and scatter them about the place, probably the more the better imo, this will make a nice surprise for your wife and she will be thrilled with your initiative and confidence, which she secretly craves. you will thank me later.

Also sounds like a very dodgy relationship to me. I mean, did she not show any of these traits, before you were married?
Sounds like he already has an evil spirit there! Also sounds like a very dodgy relationship to me. I mean, did she not show any of these traits, before you were married?
When we lived in March, Cambridgeshire, the in-laws still lived in Essex, but they decided to view a house about 8 miles from us in Wisbech.
Mrs SAGC was in London, and her dad is useless at reading maps, so I got lumbered with the job of taking them to the viewing, once they got to our house.
While they went in to view the house I sat outside smoking a cigar.
On the way back to my house the mother-in-law said 'We would never have bought it as it was number 58.'
'What's 58 got to with anything?' I asked.
'5 and 8 is 13, it's unlucky' she said.
Her dad rolled his eye towards the sky.
'But you knew the address before you left home, which is 95 miles away' I said.
She replied 'Well yes, but you have to look, don't you.'
FFS!!

Er... You are very naive if you thought you wouldn't get grief from posting a thread which contains personal details about not only yourself , but also your wife. I think accusing your wife of utter madness is somewhat of a character assignation too. Imo.
Not pdp, BPD = Borderline Personality Disorder.Er... You are very naive if you thought you wouldn't get grief from posting a thread which contains personal details about not only yourself , but also your wife. I think accusing your wife of utter mad

Me and the wife were in the pub watching a match when a ball came across which looked as if it was begging to be buried. Miraculously the fella waiting on the end seemed to grow smaller as the ball got nearer and he failed to stick it in the net to be met with a stream of abuse from the assembled fans. When it died down the wife said, "well I wouldn't have got my head to it". Strangely nobody said anything as they turned around and saw her in her wheelchair.

Another corker was a while ago when she was talking about Ian Rush and she insisted he played in goal. She wasn't having it when everybody told her he didn't. Eventually exasperated she said he definitely plays in goal for Liverpool and at that stage the penny dropped with someone who said, "do you mean Bruce Grobbelar?". "That's him" she said. "He looks like Ian Rush".

And yes, I know all about BPD - as I posted on a thread some time ago ( I believe you joined in too), Three members of my family are sufferers. Mental illness is no joke.

Indeed it isn't. Which is why I questioned you. Fair enough. I haven't been party to your previous discussions but your comment seemed a low blow and commiserations to neworder if he suffers that cursed disorder. By the way it is a disorder and not an illness.

On the question of whether the terminology should be disorder or illness, can I refer you to the website :-

It's a long and detailed analysis, but interesting nonetheless, as the government led initiative will have potential far reaching consequences.
