Did anyone else see Jupiter and Venus last night ?

I did see it, yes. Didn't know what it was, but I did notice 2 unusually bright stars (as I thought they where)

They will still be fairly close for a couple more nights, looking west, low down, best after 22:00

knew alignment happening but thought would be really late on due to length of days at moment

I saw it about 10pm Monday, crossing over a railway foot bridge, hanging over the railway - didn't see much else, so it stood out. Usually check on here, but forgot it completely until I saw this thread.

Forgot to look out for it, and why is it not common knowledge that these planets shine bright?
Watch as the eyes glaze over when you try explaining to people what is shining up there.

When do they conjoin with Uranus?

So Uranus has a nice middling ring - not too complex, not too simple.

Zeus has been lamentably neglected neglected over the past 2000 years, it's time he re-asserted himself.

How did that happen?

About a month ago I was looking in the sky and saw a static little star in broad daylight nearly overhead.
It didn't move for quite a few minutes, I'm guessing it was venus?

Either that or a supernova.

If you live in Scotland, it was the Sun.
