Surely all Britain has to do to stop this is,have a Navy boat on standby, check all trucks coming into British port, round up all illigals and put them on the Navy vessel and deport them back to Calais at the end of each day.Job done.

Due to various treaties we have signed, as soon as they set foot in Britain they can claim asylum , and so cannot be deported until their claim has been rejected and all appeals exhausted. This typically takes several years.

Even then, if they start a family while this is going on, they can probably still stay by claiming 'the right to family life' under the HRA.

They could claim asylum in France too but would probably have to sleep in a doorway while their claim was being processed. Here they obviously get housing\benefits sorted.

If they dont allow the boat dock and turn it around with any illigals found aboard ,that will make them think before setting sail...

Why don't the French round them up at Calais, put them in a ship and drop them back to Africa? It's not far from the French coast.
Report Ibrahima Sonko June 26, 2015 9:16 PM BST
Because of history you would think the french probably feel they have to be seen to be doing the right thing, in this case sending them to the uk.

How many migrants are in the UK  ?  how many in total have been removed from trucks on this side of the funnel ?

how many have the UK agreed to take ? and what is the process for establishing if they are genuine refugees ?

what is the criteria ?

seems to have went quiet on how many new arrivals Italy is seeing ...they must know how many people are potentially going to come ,if they are coming from diff departure points all over Africa who gave the signal its was a good time for them or has there always been this many and its simply not been reported ?

Seems to be a lot of issues that are not being discussed here ,like why is there a reluctance to return the people to their country of origin ?

If the EU is not maintaining its borders whats the point ?  is there a hidden agenda ?  cant seem to understand whats going on ,is it a Libyan issue or just a general failure of the EU ?

You serious ?

The eu is run by lefties who cannot deal with suffering no matter what its form is,the human rights law means we have to let them in or once they are in they are here to stay, even if we put up some barriers to stop them.
