Can understand the emotion of course-but if tourists thought a little more maybe they would actually consider not stampeding to get out or holiday makers who planned  on visiting Tunis might still go ahead...
* Unlikely to be another such attack for some time...
*Increased security in place
* Probably great deals available for foreseeable future
* Will have sexy stories to tell when they come home
* Will send out a message that they will not have their holiday plans dictated by a bunch of crazies
* Will help the economy of a courageous country striving to shake off the stench of Islamic fundamentalism
* When it comes down to it -you're not really safe anywhere

No,-I'm simply  saying if people are already there they might consider finishing out their holiday or if someone had booked to go -they might not automatically knee-jerk cancel.

this sounds a lot like the start of the film - the Fury(1978)Brian de Palma/kirk douglas - all the tourists get blasted by machine gun fire at the start on the beach in Israel. The Arab terrorists come in by the sea on motor boats and strafe the tourists. Almost exact except they came from the land.

my guess is that most of the people who holiday in Tunisia do so because of the cost, and with very little intention of ever leaving the hotel.

this could well be the end of the country's hotel tourist industry.

Aer Lingus flight going to  Monastir this evening -only 59 cancel out of 171.

frightened sheep.

Or just don't think that they would enjoy themselves trying to relax in an area where 28 tourists were killed the previous day whilst trying to do the same thing.

Vubiant have you taken leave of your senses!!  or has your account been hijacked* where the Fck is your brain at right now. or perhaps you have been on the sauce since lunch time. Whatever the reason you should be ashamed of yourself, I for one won't be reading/replying anything you post in future, I hope others follow

Unlikely to be another such attack for some time...   Really!!!, Second guessing what the cancerous phenomenon that is Islamic fundamentalism will do next, has to be THE most stupid thing I have heard in years!!

*Increased security in place,........ you are familiar with the terrain, the buildings, The abilities of the Tunisian security forces. Your assumptions are based on what exactly?????

* Probably great deals available for foreseeable future,....obnoxious comment.

* Will have sexy stories to tell when they come home........another obnoxious comment.

* Will send out a message that they will not have their holiday plans dictated by a bunch of crazies... going are you? or are you showing those "crazies" how brave you are from the safety of home behind your keyboard.

* Will help the economy of a courageous country striving to shake off the stench of Islamic fundamentalism, Jesus wept, you're the Tunisian chancellor as well as being a dopey plank.

* When it comes down to it -you're not really safe anywhere, ....aaahh well, we might as well book "cheap" "sexy" holidays in Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq, and lets not forget sunny Syria......you coming??....thought not.

broadsword -I don't follow the logic of your comment ...presumably because it doesn't contain any .Laugh
Your implied criterion -that posters should  post only on matters that 'have to do' with them personally  would disallow about 90% of threads on the chit-chat forum. The suggestion is intrinsically absurd.

As for boxingthefox ...the fact you will disregard my future posts is a huge relief -at least I'll be spared the trauma of having my posts being clinically dissected by a towering intellect.
Are you a forensic syntactician ...or maybe a metasemantic analyst ? Probably not - maybe more of a run-of-the-mill ten-a-penny  spouter of populist clichés.
Pity you won't be reading this -but there you go......

The fact you could cancel a flight/holiday at a destination where 37 people have just been murdered & get your money back then imo you would be plain crazy to fly out there, those that flew out there either never heard the news of what had happened or were staying at other resorts, calling someone a frightened sheep for cancelling under these circumstances is ridiculous.

Tunisa to close down 80 Mosques due to preaching extremism.  When will the PC good doers overhere do the same?  What's it going to take for the PC lefties to wake up to this crap in their own country?

The problem is the far left have always courted ways in which to bring down Britain as we know it.
During the cold war it was the USSR they idolized, now it is Islam.
So every time we have an attack by the soldiers of Islam, it is seen by them as a victory against the system.
The irony of the old leftwing mantra that says in order for bad things to happen good men does nothing.
Well bad things are already happening decapitations and bombings here in the west, and full scale genocide in Africa and the Middle East. All victories for Islam while impotent Western government’s fuss of perceived breeches of human rights.

Tunisia is a sh!thole of a place and I would never go there on holiday but this terrorism must be fought by all democratic countries. We should increase the defence budget to a reasonable level and go on the offensive against these terrorists until they are defeated.

You sir really are dense ! Do you actually understand what the word irony means ?
My ' joke ' was to highlight the obnoxious content of Vubiant's opening post.
This was obviously lost on you ( and , seemingly broadsword). But then you're so far up your own arse in putting ' lefties' in your own particular bitter and twisted prejudice box. Pathetic.
