I never knew chaser Paul Sinha aka the smiling assassin is a real life doctor and a comedian.

Perfect scenario for the contestants is a real brainbox with gamble in them going first up and taking one of the chasers for 40 odd grand and the others playing safe to stay in the game.
Don't watch the show much but I would bet the people who run the show probably set up some situations like this from time to time. Losing 50 grand a few times on purpose is part of the advertisement budget.

Lots of tv shows are not straight. A wee bit of profiling people can pretty much help you predict what happens even without being scripted. Talking of scripted I like Pawn Stars, and American pickers but they are more bent than a roundabout. Chumlee is the biggest earner on Pawn Stars. The stars of that show don't even work in the shop. And in American pickers each place they visit is filmed over a whole day and researchers set up stuff for them to find.

Only recently started watching The Chase USA, it's a faster pace than our show, enjoy both, one of my fav quiz shows.

Re Topic, surprised Beastie passed on that question, When is the next leap year ?  Sort-of question you don't pass on, if you don't know it just take a guess on a year.

His wikapedia profile never mentioned that Spelling. That's terrible.

If you guess and get it wrong, it makes it easier for the other team to guess the correct answer.

I'm surprised Mark didn't know the leap year question, that sort of thing is normally his forté.  He probably just got a bit flustered under pressure.

What an amazing run of good fortune Mark has enjoyed with his part on The Chase and its American counterpart.  I'm rather envious, but good luck to him.
