An alleged attack by two 13-year-olds on a young boy in Bradford that was filmed and viewed thousands of times online was not racially motivated, police say.

Three 13-year-old boys were arrested on Friday on suspicion of assault following a video showing a 12-year-old boy being punched and kicked.



West Yorkshire Police said this weekend that two of the arrested boys have been charged with attempted robbery and assault and were released on bail to appear at Bradford Youth Court at a future date. The third boy was released on bail for further enquiries to be undertaken.

Detective Chief Inspector Terry Long said: “Thankfully a member of the public has reported the Facebook video posting of the assault which occurred in early May 2015. It was not reported to the police at the time. We don’t believe the attack to be racially motived.

“The police in Bradford will not tolerate incidents of this type and we will respond quickly and professionally.”

The boys involved in the video are all from the Heaton area of Bradford, police said last week.

Twice the size of the boy and to say it isn't racially motivated is pure whitewashing (no pun intended) from the police.

There seems to be a lot of 'imagining' and 'ifs' going on. "How will the BBC report this?"...as accurately as possible, as they always do. I suppose that they will consult the police department who are in possession of the relevant details and witness statements.
The BBC can not report something as racially motivated just to please some chitchatters. The police say (apparently) that it was NOT racially motivated. What undisclosed information are the forumites keeping secret?

Heaton used to be the classiest area in inner city Bradford, it's where my sister had her first house. Not any more it isn't now the Asians are taking it over (gradually)
