I ordered Season 1 of Breaking Bad earlier Crazy

Was really hoping to resist it.

If it doesn't grab me like The Sopranos did I won't bother with the rest of it.

I like a good box set to bet stuck into but I gave up on The West Wing.

I have Homeland too but haven't got round to watching that.

Is there some good music to accompany Breaking Bad? The Sopranos used some great songs.

It does start slow but they are building the characters, first 2 series are slow but still top class, the 3rd one is when you will be doing all nighters.

So I need to watch until the third series before it gets going?

You're not selling it to me, Sonko.

I personally believe the 1st 2 series are the best written of the 5.

Not really mak, it starts slow just explaining the characters, maybe i mean slow because of how it gathers pace.

You should had bought the box set.

I will have bet with you, if you watch the whole series it will be in your top 2 and your a girl.

Breaking Bad is brilliant from the start, the 1st episode hooked me straight away, started it in 2008, was even better on a full re watch before the last season, you take in so much more the second time round...perfect length no filler, genius of a show...

Watched 1.5 seasons of Game Of Thrones, gave up, if I want tits and fanny I will watch a porn, if I want sick violence I will have a Hostel marathon...so no thanks Medieval bollocks!

The Wire is the best for me

With you on game of thrones, was trying to find some sort of story/plot, think its for people not brave enough to watch porn online.

The Wire is a clear 2nd.

If you lose the bet mak you will buy the wire.

After I had watched The Sopranos I felt completey drained.

I was so glad to have my life back that I took the whole lot to the charity shop.

I had no desire to watch it again, even tho' it was the best thing I had ever seen.

Bad move giving it away, you wont get that feeling ever from terrestrial tv in uk, draining but should had been put on a shelf, even as a reminder when you start to watch some crap.

I understand not watching it again, i have the killing 1-2-3, sopranos, the wire & breaking bad on the shelf but i know to watch them again im going to have to plan it.

I don't regret giving them away. I would never have watched it again.

I have the sopranos full set gathering dust somewhere, god knows where I'll find the time to watch it all. My recorder machine is stacked of stuff to catch up on. Loads of Wallander, The Killing 3, The Fall series 2, The Bridge series 2 and plenty other stuff I forget at the moment.

My favourite that only ran for one season was called Rubicon. It had its critics but I loved every minute of it and would love to find a copy of the dvd somewhere as I can't find it anywhere, yes, amazon doesn't have everything. I deleted it off my recorder thinking I was bound to find a dvd to buy, wrong. Sad

Breaking Bad had me hooked from the start. Great show.

Walking Dead was great in season one and two, then it was a little slow for me.

The Wire was excellent. I really enjoyed it.

Game of Thrones was good.

One that I really enjoyed was Broadwalk Empire. Great cast, setting and storyline. Well worth watching.

Not everyone will like BB but when so many people tell you it's quality you have to take notice and at least give it try surely.

I'm up to series 5 episode 1 and honestly think it's getting better.

Excellent that nobody has posted any spoilers.

I'm always surprised when people say BB takes a while to get going - the first episode alone has more plot development than most movies

Breaking Bad is just about the best thing I've ever seen on TV.
It's spellbinding. Brian Cranston is amazing. The way he develops the character over the series is just brilliant.

Cool

Well said colly, the path he takes is what i think most of us would do, even if we would not admit to it.

If you like BB, then make sure you watch Better Call Saul on Netflix. It's about the early years of the dodgy lawyer. Mike from BB is in it and apparently, Jesse will be in season 2. One episode in particular which shows Mikes backstory is award worthy imo.

I have been very tempted to watch that treble and it has been recommended to me, but i found Saul's role in BB as a bit of cameo and one you could only handle once. But if it interlinks with BB it might be worthwhile, i just get this picture that it will be all about a dodgy lawyer and tricks of the trade with different case each week which will be humorous.

think its the best thing ive ever seen on telly. great characters, storyline, acting, could do with better soundtrack for want of not sounding churlish.

Not like that at all Sonko. Has it's humorous moments, but not enough to make it seem comedy like. The writing, just like BB, is awesome.
