What's wrong with them?

This guy went to see his doctor and was diagnosed as having a
tapeworm. "They're not easy to get rid of, but we'll give it our
best shot,"the doctor told him, and instructed him to come in every
day for two weeks, and to bring a piece of Madeira cake and a hard-boiled egg.

The guy agreed, and showed up the next morning with the two items. To his
horror, the doctor shoved the hard-boiled egg up his butt, and followed it with the piece of Madeira cake, and sent him home.
This went on for twelve more days,at which point the doctor's instructions were to forget the cookie and bring in the egg and a hammer.

On the last day the fellow dropped his pants in considerable apprehension, gritting his teeth as the doctor inserted the egg up
his butt and calmly sat back. A few minutes later the tapeworm stuck his head out and said, "Oi were's my Madeira cake?"

Actually this version had "Lemon Cookie," but I prefer "Madeira Cake", so I changed it and missed one....

If I was a tapeworm, I'd prefer Madeira Cake.

Just need to get the measure of them.

Before investing in warm milk, pumpkin seeds and madeira cake, how do you know if you have a tapeworm in the first place?

(Actually I should know this because my first year biology teacher lent me a book about someone who'd deliberately got tapeworms, but it was several decades ago and all I can remember is it had a green cover.)

Some TV doctor deliberately infected himself with a worm a few years ago.
Then if I remember correctly they stuck a camera in him so they could see it.

Little parasite was eating madeira cake AND had a flat screen TV!
