My vote will make no difference to my constituency, Tessa Jowell will win by a distance again. Thing is, I've never seen her out and about in the hood, not even once.

Mine (Birmingham Hall Green) is "fairly safe" labour. Voter power 0.454. Last time 25% of votes were cast for "Others". "Others" was in fact Salma Yaqoob of Respect party . Due to population change since 2010 they could well have a better chance next week than "Voter Power" is suggesting.

does anyone else get mail from an MP, claiming to be their MP and represent them who is actually not even their MP ...must be confusing for them to remember their constituency.

No idea about her husband's living arrangements Orioles to be honest with you. I do know it's one of the safest seats in the U.K. for her, that's a given.

I didn't know that HH, I'm far too absorbed concentrating on my placepots to be be completely up to speed on local current affairs. How did you know I vote Tory by the way? Resham is certainly a very fine looking woman, agreed on that.

tbh I didnt know who you voted for Slippy, and what with Farage being a Palace supporter and Dave coming down firmly on the side Villa and West Ham....

I couldn't possibly vote for my old schoolmate, he wants to bring back smoking in pubs and for me that's a deal breaker. I've never seen Farage at Selhurst Park anyway, he's not a true Palace fan. That's a load of twaddle. He was absolutely hopeless at sports, he ducked rugby as he was far too unfit and knew he would get crunched on a regular basis anyway. He was a funny bloke though I must say, the teachers all hated him as they didn't know how to cope with him.

Yes J he is one of us - the ones who put their hands up to ask awkward questions of our teachers and the status quo. I was barred from group tutorials because I kept disrupting and asking what the lecturer/tutor's position and credibility was.
If you want a quiet life just keep your hand down and vote for the two main parties.

Mo, I had to stand up in front of a class of 25 pupils and two teachers to explain why I didn't believe in God and wouldn't be attending any R.E. lessons in future. After ten minutes one of the nutjob teachers told me to get out and to never speak to him again. I didn't, that suited me just fine. It was quite a laugh really looking back on it.

I like that, teachers think they know and have the power of reasonable argument because of their position but in reality they are complete bluffers. My Physics teacher was a total psychopath, my Latin teacher just made stuff up as he was going along, I liked him though. My Maths teacher used to be a regular at Wimbledon dogs and was always nursing a hangover, he was a terrible gambler and couldn't see past the favourite or his whisky flask I liked him as well. I'm pretty sure the R.E. teacher got sectioned in the end, he just vanished off the radar all of a sudden.
How I've still got most of my marbles left after that upbringing never ceases to astonish me.
When are you coming to the pub again by the way?

The 'to build or not to build' HS2 debate might make my constituency a bit more interesting re how UKIP fare, I suppose, but it's still the proverbial 'put a donkey up with a blue rosette, and he'll get returned to power' situation is my guess.

As you can see, I will be a key player in deciding whether I want Britain's affairs run direct from Hampden Park , or whether I will have to pay more tax to ensure the NHS can keep delivering the birth of future Jihadists in record numbers.
I have about as much say in the election of my representative as I would in electing a US Senator.

I've probably voted half-a-dozen times in my life, half in rock solid Labour constituencies, half in rock solid Tory.
In my case, voting has been as pointless as Adrian Chiles washing his c0ck.

An appropriate analogy indeed Roger, and one which I hope beautiful Allegra Strapon herself might use next time she discusses the shortcomings of our present democratic arrangements.

The position I have maintained for years is the quote from a National Front spokesperson - reference brick lane - he would go down it with a flame throwing tank. My political positing is the same for Westminster - not just the politicos but the whole corrupt civil service.
Sort that one out.
J - I can't climb that fkn hill!!!! ha ha!! But yes its on for the summer but need to book into that posh hotel down the road coz we ain't tolerating that torturous train escapade like last time.
