I managed six before I ran out of money

We used to mix Special Brew with Gold Label = purple haze
Stella was always purely a refreshment drink.
Report BARROWBOY April 29, 2015 1:22 PM BST
theres a reason they call it 'wife beater'.

the only night ive ever drank stella I ended up in a police cell, got thrown out a nightclub and woouldnt leave, the bouncers eventually called the police, they came and took me home, I couldnt get the key in the door and when the policeman tried to help me apparently I tried to headbutt him hahahaha, don remember any of it, they took me to the plice station and locked me up for the night, felt horrific when I woke up and luckiy after I apologised they let me off with a warning and gave me a lift home, havent downed another stella since

There appear to be a few on here who can't handle their drink, or are absolute pigs and drink too fast, not that that's any excuse.

I'm more of an ale or whiskey man but I drunk plenty of Stella when I was younger. Never counted but we did tend to get through plenty. Can't say I was any more belligerent on that than anything else.
Report SlippyBlue April 29, 2015 4:28 PM BST
I don't mind a few of pints of Stella but I wouldn't want to drink 10 in a session. As Eeternaloptimist said, it would make no difference to my demeanor either but I'd be a bit mangled no doubt. I'm a bit too old for that carry on now.
Report Eeternaloptimist April 29, 2015 4:32 PM BST
Indeed. Were I a bull gone are the days when I would run down into the field to shag a cow. Now I'll walk down and shag them all.

I play 9/18 holes of golf and a couple of pints of Stella about four times a week. Wouldn't want any more though.

When I first started going into the pub at 17, Stella Snakebite (with rough/cloudy cider) was the drink of choice. 95 pence a pint!

Can't stand Stella now though.......
Report Just Checking April 29, 2015 8:03 PM BST
I'll have a pint or two but never drink much Stella at a time, I have no idea what is in it but it is 100% true that it gives you absolutely horrible hangovers, it's like it's mixed with Brasso and Domestos or something.

Absolutely right....9/18 holes, four times a week, is enough for anybody.
Report gawdalmighty April 30, 2015 12:30 PM BST
Fuking love Stella, it don't love me though Sad  Couldn't manage more than 5/6 a session, wouldn't want to either.
Report Aunty Post April 30, 2015 2:03 PM BST
Well aside from everything else, 10 pints is 5.6 litres meaning circa 28 units and God knows what the cost is!!!

Report cloughandtaylor April 30, 2015 6:10 PM BST
Real ales and Guiness for me and Brandy to finish off, anything that gives bad heads is just toxic p155.
Report Hamsterdam April 30, 2015 8:03 PM BST
Wouldn't touch Stella nowadays. As mentioned the hangovers are awful on it. There's plenty more lagars with a kick to it that don't have the horrible lingering that Stella brings.
