and surely commentators should be good communicators, hallet to me has absolutely nothing to offer, even his voice grates like fck

Terry could at least have the decency to keep his thoughts to himself, why shouold we have to suffer as well?

id rather someone with opinions than a complete non offensive yes man like hallet, about as entertaining as watching grass grow

You cannot seriously find Terry Griffiths entertaining, surely?  He is unbelievably boring, I have to turn the sound off when he's commentating.

And TG hasn't got a clue when it comes to shot selection, hence they have to pair him with WT who is quite good in this area to give him his due.

i  watched last years  final on eurosport just before this started, the commentators bar johnson were fcking awful..absolutely no excitement,terrible channel really, How anyone can watch it on there when the bbc is in god knows.

My favourite two commentators would be Griffiths and Hendry, but you could never pair then together as they both can go very long spells without saying anything, mind you for the ones that don't like them that must be a plus?

I'd need a pint if I had to chat with Terry.

Clive Everton was my favourite commentator.  These days I guess I'd give my vote to the WT and JV pairing.

To give Terry Griffiths some credit, he is responsible for my all time favourite commentary moment.  Who can forget him calling Judd Trump a "tight c unt?"

It`s almost as the Hallett is commentating on a different frame to the one you are watching.

can he chip it in.....now he cant fcking CHIP IT IN...annoying fcker

Just as players have to think 6 shots ahead, the Great Man is possibly commentating several frames ahead.

"If he wins 7 frames in a row - he's still in with a shout" Is one of his better moments..

I've always felt sorry for Mike Hallett as I remember the continually devastated look on his boat when he haemorrhaged a massive lead against Stephen Hendry in a TV final about 20 years ago...'the gods' really had it in for him that night as everything seemed to go wrong for him and just to rub things in, when he got home he'd been burgled!

I always sympathise with the 'nearly men' of sport who get their rare chance and blow it

Don`t feel too sorry for him, he landed on his feet by having Hendry as his doubles partner for the World Doubles title. Yes that final was classic Hallett.
