Do you consider car theft worthy of an emergency response?

I would jail anyone reporting car theft on 999.
BTW AP you think that road blocks would have been put up if you had got through.

On reflection that may well have been the case had you said that as they drove away in your car they shouted racist insults.

Apparently, you should always call 111 if your car gets stolen and you believe that the culprits are straight A students or promising young footballers.

The police will investigate and if you were found to be negligent in any way (the example they cite is leaving fuel in the tank) you will be arrested.  The culprits (if they are ever found) will be offered counselling and an Ipad.
You, on the other hand, will be sentenced to appear in the audience of the Jeremy Kyle Show.

Mememe. I don't see how the police would expect you to know their level of schooling OR their sporting prowess, unless they thought that it was a 'staged' event or that you knew the thieves personally.
