anyone else feel that corrie is going downhill fast?
When Peter Barlow was found guilty of murder the viewing figures were just over 8 million
Six months later only six million tuned in to see Owen to bid farewelll to the street
A drop in almost two million viewers in a short space of time - there has to be something wrong
I havent watched it in over a month now. For all the corrie fans - where do you think they went wrong?
It is maybe to do with the great man Barlow leaving?

A lot of posters on here agree that it's been going downhill for a couple of years or more.
Peter Barlow and Rob were both good characters imo.
Sarah Platt and daughter Bethany are back and for me, are intensely irritating.
Callum has to be the least convincing gangster I've ever seen.
On a more optimistic note, my missus tells me Sarah Harding is joining the cast.

agree with u about sarah and bethany
dont mind callum to be honest.
there just doesnt seem to be that 'watchability' aspect about it these days

Stuart Blackburn the producer has totally ruined the programme with ridiculous story lines over the last couple of years, how his bosses have not twigged & given him the elbow god only knows.
Streetcars must pay good wages; Les Dennis is never out of that bistro.
On the subject of stupid storylines, the Andy/Gavin identity thing is right up there

they've got Gayle, RatBoy, Ratboy's baby, Max, Ratboy's sister and the overacting teenager all living in the same little terraced house. It's like the fecking Tardis. 
Soaps are really dated and are losing millions because it's 2015 and they're are not 4 TV channels anymore. Always thought they were only watched by women.

Far too many gay story lines, after all homosexuals are just about 5% of the population.
Also some one decided there were not enough ethnics so loads arrived quickly via boat from Egypt presumably.
Got a long way to go to match the shiyte that eastenders drove it`s viewers away with though.

This is so poor now.
Consistently poor writing and woeful acting.
Tonight a right on scene of the two gays being thrown out of B & B, and not allowed to stay a night cos of a homophobic landlord.
No one cares.

People just watch it out of habit now. I've seen the odd episode recently and it looks dreadful
