i mean the average person, sure i saw somewhere that under last coalition the average person was worse off in real times for first time ever or something. Obviously the well off have done ok under the conservatives

It has to work that way.
The rich do well and the economy grows, which provides more money to be spent by the government.
If you hammer the rich too much you choke off growth.
That's why the rich do as well under Labour as they do under the Tories.

There is no such thing as poor people in the UK. Just temporarily frustrated millionaires.

They are going to increase spending on the NHS but at the same time allow the population of this country to increase by an estimated 250 000.
No wonder services are in the state there in.

I've no data so this is a pure guess, but it seems to me generally:

people who are successful in their private sector careers (accountants, lawyers, entrepreneurs, medical consultants, bankers etc) are conservative supporters.

people who live in public sector land paid by the taxpayers are labour supporters.

(AND people who are numpties and believe anything are liberal supporters.

people who are plain stupid and idealistic are green party supporters)

On the con & lab are there any stats to support the private cons v. public labs sector tendency, or should I just be prejudiced, without having no info?

A lot of floating voters out there.  I know a few who frequent the local swimming pool.
