All the big music stars have teamed up - like the X-Men mutants - to bring us a new streaming service whereby you can download music, videos, so-called VIP background stuff, etc...
In the UK, they're saying the monthly subscription will be £20 per month...$20 in the USA...love the platitudes trotted out : "It's not really for me, I can make money from touring, it's for the people in the background of the music industry..." Yeah yeah, Mr and Mrs Dollar Billionaire, we believe you.
How likely is this to succeed or fail? What ya reckon? Bearing in mind that young folks are used to getting all this stuff for free anyway...

That reminds me, why do we always get ripped off compared to the yanks? It's the same with amazon, netflix, itunes, loads of other services offered on both sides of the pond. Since when was $1 = £1 ???

Little has been made of the big bit rate and those around the world on limited internet plans.
Yeah, Poppydog, I saw a lot of different prices quoted depending on what tier you subscribe to but it was always stuff like $16 for USA, £15 for UK or similar. Not so many value seekers in the UK, whereas in the USA, if you get the price wrong you will sink.
Saw some stuff about a Neil Young service that supposedly provided big files that had super sound quality and some reviewers were saying it was bogus...a brief team up with Steve Jobs and apparently the two didn't get on.
