The Encore in Bridge Street is a good pub for food in Stratford. You should do the Shakespeare tour. It is well worthwhile with good guides.

I live near Burford...Bibury, Cotswold Wildlife Park, warwick castle. (best bets)

If you take the mrs to Bourton on Water , look around, great scenery, 1.01 you'll be in the good books.

The Fish at Wixford is a decent shout on a balmy summers evening for a few drinks. Haven't eaten there for a while but the food was always pretty good too

Dont think any of Stratford pubs are that great but The Garrick is probably best in my opinion. Have to admit I loathe the Encore. The Racehorse at Warwick has always been good and isnt far from the Castle.

Agree with Howdi about Bibury.

latest tourist attraction in bibury is the yellow corsa, japanese hit the trout farm by the bus load from easter onwards, get there earlier or it's death by a thousand sonys

willie carsons stud/farm is not far from bibury, as are quite a few celeb houses, however you're more likely to get shot at , you could arrange a visit to liz hurleys place under the pretence of being a buyer, her house is up for sale
