You need to remember that the petition is NOT to stop animal cruelty...it is about Facebook's supposed reaction and rules. I think we are all aware of that naydam but in allowing these posts then facebook are in fact condoning animal cruelty. |

I have great difficulty in believing that Facebook's community rules and standards actually incites and glorifies cruelty to animals.
I have no idea where or who the original post came from. I assume it was copied from somewhere. I don't know the nature of the complaint mentioned in the original post. I suspect it was not related to the topic of the animal cruelty described. I also have concerns about the petitioning email. I get the impression that the OP and the email originate from different sources and are, indeed, based on different topics. The only fact that I DO know is that there are no links supplied whereby I could confirm the presence of this cruelty. Only THEN could I check to see if it actually IS permitted (or even encouraged!) by Facebook's moderators. Anyway, I'm leaving this thread...every time I try to give a reasoned opinion I just get abuse form most sides. Luckily, not quite ALL sides. |
