Seemed good value for £2 including a drink. The roll comes with meatballs, cheese, and whatever salad and dressing you want. But I just asked for cheese on it. Nothing else.

Came to paying and the server tried to charge me £3 just for the roll which did not even include a drink. He said it was not a meatball sandwich. It was a salad sandwich. No, I told him, I ordered the meatball sandwich and just chose to have cheese, two small slices at that.

Ridiculous. I ended up not taking it and the roll was probably thrown away.

All subway rolls taste the same when they drench that southwest sauce all over it.

Well if I was getting my lunch put on for free at the publics expense I would feel ungrateful about complaining too much.

The world has gone mad, in Greggs in West Norwood I asked for a cheese salad roll with mayo. I was told I can't have mayo.
"Have you not got any mayo in the shop then?"
"Yes we have have but we are not allowed to put it on your roll." Confused

In Costa Coffee in Crystal Palace I asked for a black coffee. "So you want a coffee without milk?"
"Erm, isn't that what I just said?"

Angry

I like Subway although you get what you pay for. Can't really complain about £2 for a sub and a drink although the OP was hard done by, surely the assitant could have put it through on the till for £2.

A meantball salad tray with a drink is the same price. You can't even buy a mixed salad in tesco's for £2, just get the meatballs put to the side for a healthy lunch if you don't like them.

What actually happened was that I ordered one meat roll and then while I was still in the shop decided to order a second one for my wife who is a vegetarian. We had been out shopping and had no time for anything else to eat as we were going to visit family afterwards.

Anyway, I had two slices of cheese on my meatball roll as well as some salad. I had already paid for this one at the till when I ordered the second one. I just asked for cheese on it. But when I came to paying for this one I was told it would not be the same price. No way I was paying twice as much for a roll and just two little slices of cheese on a matter of principle as I was actually saving them money.

Best value for money for a take away light snack is ikea. Something like 50p for chips. Supposed to pay for drinks but I normally just bring a bottle in and fill it up for free.
