anyone who takes offence at someone who is deliberately winding them up is an easily manipulated idiot.

TSO grasping at straws and ready to implode. LaughLaughLaugh
So what if he passes the odd offensive remark.
FFS surely insulting the Argies should be seen as a positive thing.
The online petition to reinstate him is flying, how is your one getting on TSO?

Apparently he took the hump when he was laid on a cold buffet for his lunch while on location. He wanted hot food. Bit of a soft lad if you ask me. Most people take a packed lunch to work and would love the kind of gourmet buffet which was probably laid on for him.

Most people also have to pay and bring their own lunch to work. He was getting his lunch laid on free and he was still complaining. If anyone on here acted in such a way with their employer who was actually paying for their lunch they would soon be out of a job.

Quite fecking right. A cold buffet, cheapskates.

I didn't say it was wrong to mock Argentina

But he was mocking the ward dead

He also mocked the disabled (what he said about Gordon browns eye)

He also said all "public service workers should be shot in front of their families"

This is someone who is LEECHING of the licence payer, some of the most poorest in society are paying the licence fee and those licence fee payers are paying for the fat faces 3 course dinner, this is someone that has made £50 million from licence payers and yet he doesn't pay for his own dinner, sick

Clarkson is just the male equivalent of Katie Hopkins.

They both know how to milk the new industry of "taking offence".

Yes and who is paying for that food? the Licence payer

yet he has made over £50 million from the licence payer

There are the poorest in society that cant afford to heat their homes or feed or clothe their kids but they are contributing to FAT FACE's sinner ?? That's like taking money from the poorest in society to pay for a rich presenters dinner

@TSO he was on location and entitled to be fed hot food.
I used to have to go away on company business, training courses and meetings.
If I was served a cold buffet I would have complained. Stop nit picking.
By the way the 'shooting' comment was his idea of a joke ffs man up pal.
Finally please explain how he was mocking the dead or is it a case of 2+2 making 5.

that's harsh on clarkson, who's a much much better troll than hopkins. hopkins is unsophisticated, extreme and clumsy and actively goes after an audience.

Compare it to this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-OQR5zu_J4

he's not breaking the fourth wall, but he may as well be.

2nd coming, do you honestly believe that clarkson is being subsided by the license fee? It would be higher were it not for the international commerical success of Top Gear.

I don't even like the program or him. But it's embarrassing how little he has to do to wind up those who make it their business to actively seek out "offensive and unacceptable behaviour" in whatever form they can find.

"how little he has to do to wind up those....".I suppose most people would be "wound up" by a punch on the nose.

He drove through areas of Argentina where most of the dead soldiers came from with that number plate, don't forget Argentina suffered a lot more fatalities than we did, a hell of a lot more

Yes I know he was joking, but he said "public sector workers should be shot in front of their families" on a family show (the one show) at peak time

So a nurse on low pay looking after the very sick, cancer patients etc... should be shot in front of her family???? what king of sick though is that, my thought would be to give her a pay rise

If he doesn't like the bbc's food can he not afford to have some hot food delivered?? not like he cant afford it, he is being paid to shoot on location, paid a lot form the licence payers

and that's absolute rubbish about the licence fee being low because of top gear, why does it go up every year then? and what happens when he is too old to carry on with top gear?? will the licence fee be 10 times what it is now then at around £1000 per year??

Agreed DStyle.

Clarkson does have more subtlety and panache the Hopkins.

She comes across as a touch desperate in her trolling efforts probably because she lacks the profile of Clarkson.

Fair enough making a complaint to your boss but I have a feeling Clarkson did not talk to his boss in the way most people would if they had a complaint to make and that's why the fracas started. He is in a public sector job and getting his lunch put on - how many people in public sector jobs get the same treatment.

Clarkson is a tongue in cheek wind up merchant. That's obvious. I dread to think what TSO thinks about Prince Philip!

Some folk want to live in a plastic, Orwellian, sanitised society. Others like a bit of colour.

Kirsty Allsop (also a grade A khoont) sticking up for Clarkson on Newsnight

her argument is that he/Top Gear is so popular he should be allowed to get away with it.
