I'm working all week and just having Friday off. Cry

I'm recording the racing and watching it when I get home, I'm hoping not to look at/hear any of the results but I don't think I have the willpower!

The VCR lived on the floor under the telly. Gold Cup Day I set the timer in the morning and went to work. Successfully avoided results and arrived home to enjoy the action. Flatmate had hoovered the TV room - first time in five years anyone apart from me had touched the blessed hoover - and managed to bump the timer switch to off.

Sad

On a par with 'I won't tell you the United v City result, but a goal would have made it exciting.'

Afternoon Pumpy.

Are there any notable absences from the placepot comp?

I can't think that anyone would forget.

I got some points there for coming third, but I would rather have had no points and for Annie Power not to have had that horrible fall.

Thank goodness she and the other horse are fine.

Incredible scenes really. What drama. It looked all over. Annie Power, bidding to land an incredible four-timer for Mullins and Walsh, a bookie-bashing juggernaut of the highest order, falls at the last when clear and cruising. You could feel the place about to explode when she approached the last as 50,000 racegoers, many, plenty, most, with Mullins accas riding on Annie Power, held their collective breath. I've never heard a crowd groan like it. From a possible sustained roar to what seems like near silence. She's up, she's fine. And Glen's Melody, also trained by Mullins, won the race by the way.

blogger from on course... blogs the drama..

Thanks Makybe, and   even better end of the day for you Grin

I got off to a very bad start not just on here but also with my bets for today,  that last race at Cheltenham though put things back to right.
