Will be spending a night at the hospital this weekend so my boy can have a sleep study done. His trach will be covered over and he will be monitored to see how he does breathing through his nose and mouth. Bit nervous now to be honest, but need to get this done to move on to the next step etc.

Just seen this thread, Hank. So sorry to read of your young 'un's situation. I hope it all went/goes well for him.
Well that was an experience! I had zero sleep as expected, but am glad to report that Jr did amazing 
For the first time ever he went to sleep while he was wearing his cap over his trach and slept for 90 minutes before he took it off in his sleep. Had a few battles with him to keep it on overnight - quite surreal as he was hiding the cap from me while asleep lol
He managed about 7 hours total. Way better than I had hoped. Get the full break down of results in a week or two.
