Harvey Proctors home searched...

Wasn't even sure he was still alive. Whenever I think of Proctor, I always think too of the great Dennis Skinner...

Proctor was due to speak at some parliamentary sitting or other (let's say PMQs) but was embroiled in a rent boy scandal. After the Speaker called his name a couple of times, Skinner stood up and said something along the lines of "wherever could he be? Perhaps he's in the whip's office!"

Sounds like Skinner. Maybe plod thought he was dead?

I wonder if this will be the 1st one questioned who isn't 6 ft under..

Blimey they've taken their time.

There's been much talk about this man and his alleged activities since the 8o's.

So everyone complains that no living politician is getting named, then when one is named they say it took too long or that he will prob die before the trial.  None of this is ideal, but it seems like they've got one, and if he is guilty, hope he gets a proper custodial.  In fact hope he names names too. Some people will only ever concentrate on the negatives.

I think they're just disappointed that he doesn't come from a Labour-dominated northern constituency or have brown skin.

Once you knew it was an MP involved it was pretty much nailed on that it would be white tory male in a grey suit tbf.  Think a few liberals have been involved.  But fair play to Labour, haven't heard too many Labour MP's names bandied about in comparison.

I've no idea whether or not Harvey Proctor is guilty of those heinous crimes, but his 'put up or shut up' challenge to the Metropolitan Police seems a reasonable stance in my view.  I'd also be interested to hear Chris Fay's take on Proctor's explicit denial of ever visiting the notorious Elm Guest House.

didnt the last 2 torys who stood up and had a rant about riding a white charger through our truth and justice system end up in jail aitken and coulson,think proctor should be packing his toothbrush,who in their right minds goes on live tv and names a list of other suspects,he protesth to much me thinks

Standard issue fishing expedition by the police. It is unlikely they will find any evidence from the 1980s (or the 1950s when they searched Cliff's gaff).

Where Proctor might have a point is that a lot of these allegations splashed around the web seem to trace back to the same source. If that source (true or not) can be discredited, ...
