In The 70's

I've never owned a helicopter but I had an axe with a black handle.

I suspect most teenage boy's choppers were red after over usage.

A little pinkie, gets browner with age. Think Brand once did a thing where he phoned his Dad and got him to pick a paint colour from a chart that most resemble the colour of his Hampton, the hypothesis being that they get darker with age.

My daughter's was metallic gold and with alloy wheels (never saw another one with alloys)!

There used to be a smaller version of the Chopper called the Chipper.  I can imagine that a good percentage of CCers were/are still Chipper men rather than Chopper owners. Right?

Or even smaller the budgie I bet there's a few bird boys on here

Grifter here, you dinosaurs.

I can remember the war between chopper owners and the new grifter owners, basically the chopper owners went from having the coolest bikes, to been bang out of fashion with the arrival of the grifter with its handle bar gear system.

i had a purple one (yes really), original version

my next door neighbour had a yellow one, his was a round shift and mine was a bollck ripping T shifter which i'm not surprised got redesigned

I got my chopper out regularly on sunny days

The  good old days before the 1-0 Coach
