As an eggspurt in matters Forensic, I am greatly saddened to say that the death of Jill Dando was the perfect murder. Not only did the perpetrator leave no clues, the finger was pointed at someone else who was convicted. The trail is so cold, the murder might just as well have taken place in the Antarctic. Either the perp was an amateur who got very lucky and won the murder jackpot or a first rate true professional.

My guess is we will never know.

had there been no evidence and he had not been retried he would have got compo



hes a bit more than a local nutter, and there was plenty of reason to think he was worthy of trial



should every person found not guilty be compensated for their time ?

the stefan kisco case is quoted, of course he was innocent and dna proved it, he was rightfully
awarded compensation although it could never be enough

theres plenty of stuff on barry george on bbc website, and as he has sued plenty of papers then
you have to think if bbc was producing lies he would have sued them in the ten years or so the article
has been up

The day after she was killed he missed an appointment at a local disability centre so that he could visit her home in Gowan Avenue with the flowers.
He claimed he was representing his local church, and later told police in an interview that he went there "to pay my respects ... mainly on behalf of various people in the community who wanted to express their loss.
"I am basically a born-again Christian and obviously wanted to do some form of gesture of regret."
George also collected condolence cards from local firms, though he never got round to delivering them.

Can't believe anyone thinks Barry George murdered Jill Dando

The Met investigation was as abysmal as any investigation they undertake which doesn't have the killer/motive/evidence immediatly apparent . They decided it was a nutter , then asked some 'profiler' to come up with profile of the nutter that did this .He came back with someone who was interested in Lady Di, and George was one of thousands who had developed a sort of obsession with her .There was not a shred of evidence he was ever interested in Jill Dando at all ,let alone obsessed .Tabloids reported he had a stash of items about Jill when he actually simply had thousands of newspapers/magazines ,some of which  -inevitably given that she was one of the most famous people in Britain - had articles/photos of Jill Dando .He had not cut out her photo and stuck it on the wall , drawn targets on her head ,or done anything whatever to indicate the slightest interest in her.

George blabbed to anyone who would listen about other obsessions , like Freddie Mercury , but never mentioned Jill Dando to anyone he ever spoke to .

The most compelling evidence in the case to me is that the killer waited for her ,expecting her arrival .This might seem an obviouis thing to do as it was her house , but she no longer lived in that house , she had moved in with her fiance some weeks/months earlier and only popped into her own place briefly once or twice a week .Prior to that day there were no reports of oddballs hanging about in the street . So if the local nutter had done it he got incredibly lucky : The 1st time he goes to where he thought she was living to kill her  ,within half an hour later she arrives , when , statistically , you'd typically be waiting 3 or 4 days  .

Someone knew she would be going to her house that day at about that time .That the killer had to wait as long as he did maybe because he was not aware she would be popping to the shops on the way.

The mug donny is indicative of the many morons out there who don't care about this case because it has not happened to them so why bother.
