Akabulae - That is fine,  Mine was an honest post based on what I know(?) and believe. I care deeply about wildlife and the countryside. I raise and sell stock to what I think are high and honest welfare standards. I have lived in rural Sussex all my life and am currently trying to pass all this history on to my grandaughter. You say the RSPCA may not be the best experts on the subject.
If not, why not? And who are the best experts? I'm assuming you know.
BTW surely the 'best experts' and the 'maybe not the best experts' are still experts. Or am I missing something?

Akabula - re bird experts, the British Trust for Ornithology are a far better source than the RSPB. It is sad (and I have been a member of both for over 25 years) but the BTO is not reliant on the same source of income as the RSPB so does not have the same constraints in publishing predator control et al. You dont have to believe me, do some research yourself.
