I've been getting bouts of stomach cramps that can last twelve hours. After a lot of experimenting I now know that its caused by bread with Soya Flour in it.
You might think not many breads have it in their recipes, but it's now in the majority of supermarkets. They go on about gluten? but this has sneeked in the back door.
I'm a big bread eater. Sandwiches every day. Now really scared of the stuff. Hovis the english traditional loaf has this irritant to your gut in it. So before buying a loaf. check it does not have soy or soya in it.

Well thanks for that Done Diego. I've been suffering for a while and do eat a lot of Hovis. I thought i had Bigmo's complaint...
Most supermarket bread contains additives you might not expect (see "Chorleywood Bread process).
if you want real bread from a supermarket, try this.

Alternatively, make your own, it's easier than you think and you have full control over the ingredients.

as said it's easy to make and gets easier as you do it, get a Kenwood with a dough hook and build an outdoor oven this summer.

I wonder when they started putting soya in their bread and - did they ask customers if they wanted it?
I don't eat bread of any kind because the gluten passes through the intestinal wall, causes an immune response and sets you up for inflammation, not to mention it's protein's ability to cross the bood-brain barrier and bind with opiate receptors. However, fair enough people like their bread, but what the hell do they want four kinds of flour for in one loaf?

Aye, i used to make my own bread but it's shíte for making a chip butty...
soya flour in cakes too? what is the fascination with this stuff? it was never near a bakery till five years ago? now it's in everything. must be fxxxxxx cheap. my conspiracy bone says they're trying to kill us all with GM and soya? like Baldric i'll be left with turnips as my only eating source soon.
How can you be so sure the cramps are down to soya zorro?

the food and drinks industry needs serious regulating imo.
think its scandalous they can introduce stuff into foods without any long term trials.

I have stopped eating Hovis. I do note that Tescos price for Hovis has been a lot cheaper than usual. Coincidence?
