Armando Iannucci disappointing me there as I previously thought he was intelligent, and he seems to not understand the difference between evasion and avoidance of tax, which is pretty elementary stuff.

Def a panel of lightweights, the question is does any televised programme with a limited time slot, and pre chosen questions/audience have any validity whatsoever. No question has enough time to be scrutinised, apart from a party viewpoint. and who chooses the "impartial's" not you or me. They all have an agenda, so how do you solve any problem, in this media driven, (faceless BBC employees) world

Chris Bryant is okay.

Anyone who puts money in an ISA or a private pension or delays selling something to reduce CGT is "avoiding" tax, it's perfectly legal and normal an expected. You are quite entitled to do it, it's your right.

I'm not saying that people DON'T do "dodgey" things what I'm on about is this, and this is typical of things today, is just another idiotic populist witchhunt. The Tory guy for example lived in Switzerland for a few years, this was not some account he opened without having lived there, and has apparently put money for his kids in tax efficient funds. That weasel Miliband smeared him as dodgey and basically implying evasion. What precisely has Miliband specified that he's done wrong? The Tory probably realises now after advice that while he HAS been smeared, technically he has, like most people, done things that mean he has "avoided tax" so can't sue the populist t*sser Miliband, even though we all know what Miliband was actually doing.
This is nothing to do with big corporations avoiding Tax, which is of course a real issue, but the fact this is just a political thing Miliband is doing to try and get at the Tories by personal smears using parliamentary privilege and peoples ignorance on the matter. |

Putin is imho a dangerous man.
It is a bit of a worry as their economy is massively dependent on oil, that's fallen through the floor but not before they'd spent a lot of money upgrading their armed forces that 15 years ago were out of date, and "strong" leaders can do military things as diversions when economies aren't going so well. ![]() |

I don't think Putin is as dangerous to world peace as Bush was, McCain is and Hilary will be.

Just Checking, I was rash, and 2 dimensional, as is the case with this medium. But fair play you have expounded your argument far better than mine. Gl to you.

The Labour guy has nothing to say other than populist sucking up to audience and viewers, so I expect his reply will be about how great the young people are.
