…and in general seek reassurance and approval.

Is a big Detention Camp the ONLY solution to these twerps?

Permanent detention obviously, no trial, and no visits from Chancer Human Rights Lawyers.

To my way of thinking, a (possibly) disproportionate response such as this would have enormous long-term benefits and, as they say at Roland Garros, it would encourager les autres

There can certainly be no excuse for any male player who indulges in this nonsense.

Ditto any tennis players who pat hands with each other after ANY point in a Doubles match. Ugh.

It's best not to watch.
I haven't watched a tennis match for at least the last 50 years. Obviously one can't escape seeing a nauseating clip on the news every now and again but that's life.

CJ de Mooi is a tennis fan.
Tells you all you need to know.

Foinavon, your aversion has cost you some magical sport.

The beauty of Federer at his peak, Nadal v Djokovic breaking each other in gladiatorial contests over 5 hours+, first British winner of Wimbledon in 77 years, edge of the seat Wimbledon finals Federer v Roddick and Nadal, to name just a few. Your loss.

But yes Alun, there is little that irritates me more than doubles players touching hands after serving a double fault.

Only 5 hours long , because of a sit down every 2 games, ludicrous number of bounces of the ball before hitting into the net , medical time outs , toilet breaks .......zzzzzzzzzz

And as for high fiving every single point won  in doubles .......

You forgot the worst one, needing a towel after every point.

95% of tennis players seem like they are incapable of functioning in the real world

apart from the top 5 in the world, it's not really a sport is it?

Roger, I'm quite happy to have missed the odd "magical moment" in exchange for having avoided hour after hour of tedious "from me, to you" played by self-serving egotists.
British winner of Wimbledon? Don't give a damn who wins it to be honest. Too much Wimbledon on TV which we all have to pay for.

It used to be more fun to watch than it is now.

The 'Fist pump' after winning a point is what irritates me.
(especially Andy Murray).

Watch WTA instead.

Having to inspect all the balls before selecting two to serve with gets my goat. Along with the towel thing and Nadal pulling his knickers out of his arse all the time.

good luck Murry tom

c'mon Andy!
