Reckon that swayed their chances ^
The curly blonde dragon is friends with her parents and they will have all known it was Paul Young's daughter. As clever and rich as the dragons are, sycophancy is a big sway. P.s surely Paul must have enough to sort the two of them out himself |

It's the dragon's expertise they're after.

I don't think your post was strange whatsoever. You were just stating the obvious.

Shoe sole stickers -- surely wants the Dragons to make phone calls to retailers rather than invest. Food -- nice idea but I'm not sure online is the best way to sell time-critical food; might do better as a broker to existing retailers but that would hurt margins. Coffins -- seemed like a good idea and I'm surprised no-one invested. Electric toothbrushes -- not sure the tootbrush will ever be a fashion item but would be handy so family members can tell theirs apart -- maybe this is a better market for the shoe sole sticker woman's idea. Guy was not the first to misunderstand the difference between the value of a company now and what it might be worth in 3 years time once it has some profit and assets. Chess sets -- no. Niche market of people paying for exclusivity. Clothes -- 4 dragons on offer; 2 accepted. |

Hilary is complaining about £1200 a day fee they receive.
|
|
By:
£1,200 is not a lot for some of them, although I don't suppose they do it for the money.
The one that always surprises me is Top Gear, where genuine class A celebrities give up their time for "star in a reasonably-priced car". I don't know how long it takes but it must be the best part of a day for training with the Stig and the lap, and then later the interview with Jeremy Clarkson. |
|
By:
^ Top Gear being the most widely watched factual television programme in the world might have something to do with it.
Great publicity for any celeb. |
