When they are caught and brought ashore
And placed in a  glass tank in a Restaurant
For a punter to choose one --
Do you think they lie in the tank knowing --
And quietly saying " please don't choose me
Choose him instead " ??

And Then listen to the screams of their colleagues
As they are placed in boiling water !!
Report Crisp77 • January 19, 2015 9:41 AM GMT
They are probably thinking....I wish I had my get out clause.

Oysters are placed in boiling water too ..
But they don't scream -- they just clam up .
Report naydam • January 19, 2015 11:26 AM GMT
Don't worry about it. The lobster would show you no mercy whatsoever if he could devour you!
Report Coachbuster • January 19, 2015 11:51 AM GMT
aren't you supposed to freeze them before putting in water so they sort of hibernate   ?
Report Do wah Diddy • January 19, 2015 11:53 AM GMT

Report Makybe_Diva • January 19, 2015 1:05 PM GMT

Report Makybe_Diva • January 19, 2015 1:14 PM GMT
Is that what they do in restaurants then?

What about when a customer choses a lobster from a tank? How do they have time to freeze it?
Report Coachbuster • January 19, 2015 1:22 PM GMT

Confused
Report scissors • January 19, 2015 1:55 PM GMT
Mange - for years that was the thinking --
But then last year Scientists discovered that
It is actually that Lobsters do feel the pain by
Putting receptors in them at the boiling stage .
They have also found out that Fish feel pain
So hooks in their mouths are hurting them , but
They can't scream because they are underwater.
A whole horrible scenario all round.
Report scissors • January 19, 2015 1:57 PM GMT
There are even some fish that go around
Terrorising and smashing up other fish for
The fun of it -- i think they are called
The Kray fish.

From what I've seen of life beneath the oceans, it is all about kill and be killed. They're chasing, or ambushing their next victim. It looks like a very vicious and dangerous environment!
A hook through the lip must seem like Heaven. Happy

According to the big fairy in the sky or at least his book yer committing a sin if you eat a lobster or any other shelled creature.

Leviticus 11:9-12

“These you may eat, of all that are in the waters. Everything in the waters that has fins and scales, whether in the seas or in the rivers, you may eat. But anything in the seas or the rivers that has not fins and scales, of the swarming creatures in the waters and of the living creatures that are in the waters, is detestable to you. You shall regard them as detestable; you shall not eat any of their flesh, and you shall detest their carcasses. Everything in the waters that has not fins and scales is detestable to you.
