"Actor and television presenter Stephen Fry has married his partner Elliott Spencer, he has revealed.
The 57-year-old QI host posted a picture for his 8.5 million Twitter followers this afternoon, showing him and the 27-year-old signing a marriage register.
With the picture Stephen tweeted: "Gosh. @ElliottGSpencer and I go into a room as two people, sign a book and leave as one. Amazing."
The wedding comes 11 days after it was revealed that the couple planned to marry.
On the paperwork, Stephen gave his occupation as "actor" while Elliott was listed as a writer."
A writer (?)
Fry looks older than he is and the writer looks a lot younger, which exaggerates the age difference.

Good luck to em. Fry hasn't had a happy life from what I can tell battling depression and if this brings him some comfort and the young fella is happy I wish them all the best.
A couple of photos when first released were uncomfortable .. and in my view unwise for Fry's and his partners reputation .. As a straight man it looks too much of a gap .. But i do hope its real and i have always liked him ... he was only saying about drugs what all of them were doing ..
Stephen Fry is a credit to the nation imo, and I hope he gets the happiness he deserves.

Was that an autocorrect from chaps pen1s?
I hope he had a pre nuptial agreement drawn up.
I'll give it 12 months
I'll give it 12 months
Car crash waiting to happen, will be the second one as the lad has already mullered the bentley
fry said a good rodgering over the headmasters desk didnt do anyone any harm, hope the young lad holds on tight and has a bit of cranberry jelly left over from xmas,
In trying to find out about his new wife, I ended up reading a Mirror article.
Apparently Fry tweeted some references to ' Elliot's chocolate heaven'. Most unnecessary.

On a serious note .....the value of Marriage is going down the drain

I would say Fry is besotted and the young lad is starstruck, and intellectually he is not on the same level as Fry. Would be slightly surprised if they were still together in 2 years time, but good luck to them. No issue with gays, no issue with age difference, but they just look so wrong together.

I wonder if Fry will introduce the lad to the world of PDC darts.
Their intimacy probable only extends to cuddles.....another piece of apple pie, mom !

Why? Have never really got to grips with all this fawning over him.

Well, I suppose because he can act, write, speak several languages, is highly intelligent and seems to have a decent moral compass. I respect that.
I bet they sunggle up on the sofa tonight and watch a good film, Brokeback Mountain
He's an incredibly BORING old fart, the reason why he has so many twitter disciples is because the gayer followers are loyal followers, look at elton john, he can put any old sh1t album out and it will sell in droves, same with george michael, and FFS patra pass me the sick bucket "moral compass"
don't think the Poles will agree. nothing he has ever written in or starred in has been any good and that includes the vastly over hyped and rated sh1tadder.
he's one of these annoying t1ts like ronnie o'sullivan always banging on about his depression, ffs it makes me depressed listening to it, don;t get me wrong, that is deep dark sh1t, but we all problems and I don't need him on me 55" tv bleating on
THERE IS NO FOOL LIKE AN OLD FOOL,

He'll not be getting a congratulatory telegram then?
a good moral compass
not according to the bible
not according to the bible
Though not a fan of anything he's done and never even knew he was on twitter let alone amassing 8 million followers.....I wish him well personally, seems like a sensitive and troubled soul for many a year, for his sake though hope he's not being taken for a ride.
^ that is a massive following on twitter, well over 8 million followers.
One of his latest tweets:-
"When your better half lets you watch the @bbcsnooker you know that marriage is a fine thing."

No mention of the age gap for some reason.
or the fact his bride appears to be a man
which sadly does not do it for me..
you cannot be serious ffs!

No issue at all with a man marrying a man - as an earlier poster said the age difference and how they look together is what makes it uncomfortable for me.
I hope they get a decent run together - because I fear if the young guy walks out on him it could spell huge trouble for Fry who has had his well documented problems. Might not get through having his heart broken.

confused values here?
Anyway people in the entertainment business are always marrying younger partners...men and women
and what on earth has age to do with love?
If I had the chance of marrying someone younger I would take it, although she would not only have to have a father fetish,
more a grandfather fetish, and as I am not rich......that is but a dream
Always a risk of them straying but that is the chance you take
Still as long as Steven is bringing in the money I doubt he will stray far
