It was one of my dad's favourite sayings (taken from FDR's inauguration speech) when I was growing up - and has been of great comfort and inspiration to me many times, both while my dad was alive and ever since he died.

"If you build it, they will come" from the film "Field of Dreams". It meant if Kevin Costner (a farmer in the film) built a baseball pitch in his "yard", then the old and great players no longer with us would appear ... good film if you don't try too hard and read too much into the meaning.
