Too many Liebour slobs in there. Red Tories.

Among its number, the house of Lords has a load of clerics. Unelected clerics ruling a country eh? Iran anyone?

The SNP, that governs like a dictatorship as there is no revising second house, nobody in the sheep in their party that steps out of line, they filled all the supposed revising committees in Scotland with their own and the nod everything through, and the equivalent of the parliamentary speaker was again placed as one of their own.

They've some nerve to lecture others about appropriate checks and balances in a democractic system...

Hopkins actually kind of has a point in a muddled way. Basically lets say this happened and Scotland was independent at that point. Would it have spent the money on a unit for something as specialist as this, duplicating something it previously had access to anyway, on the off chance it might happen for a small country? Perhaps not up the political money spend wishlist until it happens. So if this had happened would Scotland want to give the victim possibly inferior treatment at home or send them to the one in England if it is believed to be better. If the latter, would Scotland pay for it? Regardless of payment, would it not then be Scotland still using a UK resource, after the SNP (who wanted the independence) aggressively rejected the UK.

I'm guessing that's basically the point she in her obnoxious way, if she's trying to make any actual point at all of course, is trying to make, as EternalOptimist can see. A large problem here is that for some in England, despite the fact "No" won in Scotland, many see the likes of the EternallyObnoxious Salmond and his anti English rhetoric as the face of Scotland...

Make up your mind, is it "some" or "many"?

Some examples and evidence of Salmond's "anti English rhetoric" please.

PS as for governing like a dictatorship, the SNP was elected to a majority in Holyrood via a far more democratic voting system than the out dated FPP still in use for Westminster.

Your trouble Just Checking, is that you are incandescent, seething, BEELIN' etc etc etc, that the SNP and YES alliance didn't roll over after 18th September. QUITE THE OPPOSITE IN FACT.

1. They got less that 50% of the vote on a turnout of 50%, less than 1 in 4 of the Scottish electorate voted for them.
2. The patterns of votes for them is absolutely unrelated to what I said about the actions of the SNP.
Their "white paper" for an independent Scotland did NOT add a second revising house as having the minimum checks and balances a democracy would normally have on their actions is precisely what they do not want, which 100% backs up my description of them.

I know that when someone stupidly bothers to argue with you, they'll win on the relevant ground as you've got literally nothing to contribute, so you always divert the argument or attack them, as neatly demonstrated above, but I thought I'd point that out, and I'm not going to be drawn.

The tories were the largest party at Westminster after the 2010 election on 36% of the vote and much lower in Scotland, yet we have to put up with them. Nothing new there.

The SNP now have nearly 100,000 members which makes them the third largest party in your UK by membership. Their membership now tallies more than double that of all other Scottish parties put together.

Your sour grapes shines through like a beacon Just Checking.

I'm not going to be drawn.

That means you were talking sh1te when you mentioned "Salmond and his anti English rhetoric" - for which you so obviously have NO evidence.

Go on then, contribute some examples of "Salmond and his anti English rhetoric". If you can.

If this is agreed upon in the House of Commons, does this have to be approved by the House of Lords?

Seems pointless imo.

the Lords will be too busy filling their bellies
