we did a pitch in our nearest town yesterday on behalf of the Leave.EU group. We all agreed that we would not raise the subject of immigration to any member of the public, but I would say around 75% of them raised the issue with us as being a major concern to them. This is an area whose Asian population is under 0.5% but they were still worried. We didn't keep a tally on how many we questioned (in hindsight we should have) but I would have thought easily 100 in a 4 hour period, in that time we only came across 3 members of the public who wanted to stay in the EU.
