Just watched sky news Mr Mahmood(?)and family has been stopped from travelling to the US?? And his nine children(I have been told their birth rate drops when they come to europe?? Or are they locals?? Then an Imam from EAST LONDON(you have to laugh. He also has been stopped. He said he has travelled 5 times to the USA this year!!!!!! The family does not have a right of appeal as no rights were violated. People are refused entry to the U.S. and other countries every single day. I am not aware of any customary international law that states access to the U.S. to visit Disneyland is a guaranteed right. See R (European Roma Rights Centre) v Immigration Officer at Prague Airport [2004] for comparison. Several years ago my 78 year old uncle flew across the Atlantic and was connecting to the U.S. via Toronto pre-clearance. He was rejected because they noticed a mistake on his ESTA didn't add up with whatever slight variance he said in person (he's had a rough life, proudly looks scruffy, so I can imagine he was thoroughly investigated). After having his ESTA form dramatically torn up by a U.S. CBP officer he was sent back to London. Was that discrimination against my white non-religious British uncle? Well I guess we'll never know because he didn't have an MP kicking a fuss for him. |
