Cameron chickens out of TV debate

Petrified of Farage who has already destroyed Clegg. If the awful Green leader is invited it will quickly become four against one. The one being Farage of course.

I don't suppose he's too worried about that

Television debates do little for democracy, and they favour the underdog who has less to lose.
They also give the advantage to the politician who is the best actor in front of the cameras.

It's no wonder Cameron doesn't want to go there.
It's too risky for a start, and the sitting PM is handing PM credibility on a plate to the opposition.

Brown had little choice but to agree to them last time with his nickname of bottler.
He was also the underdog, so it was probably to his advantage on that occasion.

If Cameron agrees to another one he's a fool. Especially as he went through the process last time, so the cry of chicken isn't really valid.

If that's the case say no in the first instance. To try to  pretend its because the greens weren't  invited is disingenuous in the extreme.

Yes, because if the Greens were invited and Ukip weren't I'm sure Cameron would have said the same thing

If Cameron insists on the Greens being present then the Scottish Nationals have got a case for being there as well.

If the prime minister can;t face up to a televison debate in election year then he really is unworthy of running a country.

There are presently 5 political parties in the uk with more westmister mp's than ukip and who also wont be attending these debates. Just saying.

s-h it's not a case of being able to face a debate.
The stakes are too high for the chance of having an off day when the cameras are rolling.

Without Farage there is no need for any debates as the other main parties are 95% the same.

He is a highly skilled politician/debator himself and should be there, UKIP have surged in popularity and by not even trying to allay the fears that farage instils in his growing bandwagon of potential voters, cameron is only going to come off worse by not being in a tv debate with him, farage will pounce on it

Natalie Bennett is awful and will do the Green party no good whatsoever. Caroline Lucas was OK, but Bennett? Awful!

cameron wouldn't have made the decision, the job is to win an election and the brains / advisors in the background that really make the plans will do whatever is required to achieve that end
