Yeah when you think she's been singing at the top of her range since before Macca and she still hitting the notes. Unlike Tommy, I've enjoyed it this year and even River Deep Mountain High was good in my opinion. Perhaps it's just that I am well oiled Laugh

Kenny, they're not playing the same chords, not in tune, flat as the proverbial pancake, whatever he was he's not that now.

He beat pancreatic cancer. He's entitled not to be as good as he was. Still awesome though. Wink

Sorry kenny, the business is called entertainment, no amount of nostalgia an empathy with illness can stop the ignominy from younger uninitiated listeners.

anyway there won't be many younger viewers, several of the acts are turned 70.

Fair enough kenny, I just hate seeing acts "holding on" when the music world have forgotten them, or the are appearing as a token/budget act. his vocals have always been piss poor, as attitude adjuster stated earlier, and not amount of nostalgia will change that.

Here we are in 2015 he's still going, Facking fair play to him, we are all just trying to get along as best we can. so HNW kenny and everyone giving it a go.

How could you not enjoy Paolo Nutini? And Joss Stone, if not her singing her bare feet.

What a waste.

Boxing, this is Jimmy Cliff on Jools 5 years ago last April singing 'Many Rivers To Cross'.

He sang it later that year on The Hootenanny recording, but I reckon this was the best take he ever did.

If you look, you can see Paul Weller and other musos in the background just being blown away by Jimmy's performance that night.

Just sublime.

WALOFS.

Goulding - absolute carp.  Paulo Nutini typical Emperors New Clothes.  Joss Stone is from the west country.  Whats all this putting an american accent on to sing a song??  Ed Sheeran not my cup of tea, but at least he is talented.   What is the point in having someone doing Tina Turner karaoke if they aren't even as good as Tina?  She's full of herself that Paloma.  Best of what I saw was Clean Bandit - although everyone has heard it a hundred times.  The oldies fared better at least they can sing Ruby, William Bell, Ronnie Spectre.  Clearly Wilko is an NHS miracle, and he might be interesting in a side show way, but it doesn't make him much of a musical act.

Very disappointing and whenever I saw Jools heading over to his piano couldn't help my eyes rolling.

Some songs just don't need a great big backing and they didn't add anything, e.g. Bozz Scaggs.

Ellie Goulding is actually a really good singer and enjoyed her and Paolo Nutini but wouldn't be watching either performances again.

Ronnie Spectre and William Bell OK. Clean Bandit good but looked like they had played the song thousands of times before which they probably have and I prefer it when the two girls are singing not Jess Glynne.

Wilko Johnson... miracle of science but not the vocal arts imo... loved him with Dr Feelgood back in the day.

Joss Stone... hmmm Paloma Faith average. Can't remember any others

Altogether if you missed watching it you didn't miss anything. Surprised Holland still gets this gig.

Holland is a brilliant presenter

No one else could get near what he does in that programme

If he gave up trying to add honky tonk piano to every song he might have a chance to find out which act is on next and which stage they are on.

The bloke is useless.  I can't see his level of incompetence being tolerated in any other field.
