EO and Slicer, spot on. Slippy you are up against a corporation, that is what hospital "trusts" are, that is what everything in the land is. A check with Dun and Bradstreet will reveal that every office in this land from the royal family to the government,(currently trading as George Osborne) the police service, etc, is a registered company this is what legitimizes them.

You can sue a company and any of it's appointed "officers" under common law. As Slicer said a "no win no fee" company will only take the case if the probability of winning is greatly in their favour, so this avenue should be explored (at no cost) to determine the weight of your case. They will only create a legal "bundle" if it's in their interest.

I'm not proceeding, I have had a lot of very solid advice from you all and from other sources but after a long think about this I don't want to be involved in a protracted legal battle which could last years. I said before, it was never about money and I don't need the grief anyway.

Desmond Orchard sent me a message which I will not talk about but that definitively made up my mind not to take this any further. Thank you so much Desmond for doing that for me.

I think I remember that thread. Slippy listed all the probs with letting out, is that right?
If that's the one it helped my son out of his dilemma as well. Like you he decided against.

Same thing  happened to a friend of mines Mother Slippy ,sadly she passed away and never left the hospital was about 10 year back
she went in with stomach problems ended up with perforated bowl died of septicemia ,I've not seen her daughter for some time so don,t know how it ended up ,was charing x hospital in West London ,2 weeks before this the lady who was about 60, was fit as a fiddle ,I could not believe it when the daughter rang me ..
