The only ever time i was saddened by a death that was not family was of Robin Williams, a genius.

Robin Williams
Philip Seymour Hoffman
Shirley Temple
Peaches Geldof
Sir Bob Hoskins
Rik Mayall
Lauren Bacall
Richard Attenborough
Joan Rivers
Lynda Bellingham

I never get sad over people that have had a life, its the people/kids that die so young that gets to me. The above have had a decent life and entertained us.

f uck me that's news to me, I never knew bob hoskins died, never knew he was a sir either, that nulls it a bit for me, people who accept titles to elevate themselves above others in society deserve to be frowned upon

but WTF makes a charity muggers drugged up daughter a 'star' exactly eh? what did she do apart from follow in her mothers tragic footsteps and leave behind a couple of sprogs without a mum
Report Ibrahima Sonko December 27, 2014 11:06 PM GMT
I may have added the sir bit Mischief but i did not realise he was gone.
Report RLKingPunter December 27, 2014 11:12 PM GMT
just watching joan rivers now on itv, very very funny , never realised she was this good
Report Ibrahima Sonko December 27, 2014 11:16 PM GMT
she was brutal and very dark for a female.
Report RLKingPunter December 27, 2014 11:19 PM GMT
compared to the so called comedians on that john bishop xmas show, this lady is a comic genius, ist time ive seen her proper, so sharp
Report acquiesce12 December 27, 2014 11:25 PM GMT
i rarely hand out praise lightly as most famous people are overrate gobshytes, but agree Robin Williams, for a yank, was a class act, did any of you hear that great big fat dope alan brazil saying he was selfish for topping himself and thanking god it wasn't robbie williams FFS, I despair at how people like him get cushy jobs
Report Ibrahima Sonko December 27, 2014 11:31 PM GMT
yep, heard that sh1t.

Robin William was a freak of talent.

These bullsh1t comedians that the bbc project art not even toilet cleaners. Sad

Many of you wouldn't have heard of but BBC Radio Ulster's Gerry Anderson's death brought a lump to my throat. In our darkest times he brought a smile to both sides of the conflict. He lived in (London)Derry but he called it Stroke City. He was a great man that will be sorely missed.

Ditto to some of the comments above. Rik Mayall deserves some credit for a new age of comedy I grew up with.

Tony Benn for me. And I am right wing as well. A titan of all the politicians. When someone leaves us all the knowledge goes with them though i could be confident in his case that he had done as much as he could to impart his knowledge. I, for one, was very sad on his passing

It's all very sad  when the stars begin to lose their twinkle one by one, the universe will eventually be made up of nothing but the dark and cold corpses.

Eli Wallach, died in June aged 98. I don't know whether he was a great actor or not but always liked him in things.

Pumphol I think Ibrahima  might be a racist as he's only put white people in his list, there must have  been loads of famous black people who died last year, don't let his name fool you.
